Will any usb mic work? I'm looking for alternatives until I can figure out how to pair my Turtle beach XP500s for dig out my Astros.

I don't think the XP 500's are going to work until they release an adapter sometime next year. That's the main reason I've been hesitant to jump right into the new consoles because I don't have a top notch surround sound system, and the mic on my XP 500's won't work. So I'm basically faced with the option of playing with no mic or no surround sound, neither if which sounds like a great option for a console that costs several hundred dollars.

ok i redeemed my upgrade code for bf4 but its not working. Says to insert the ps3 disc but when i do it says unsupported disc. Any ideas

So this whole not needing an actual disc sounds really cool right up to the point that you have to download the game if you don't have ridiculously fast internet. You're only two days away from getting to play. How big is the download?

My impression so far...

1.) The console itself is freaking gorgeous! Love the design! Sleek, compact, a bit understated but I think it's their best design yet! A+

2.) The controller = MASSIVE improvement over the DS3! Fits in my hands perfectly! The new triggers are terrific as are the L1 and R1 bumpers! Also the glide pad is very easy to use! I really enjoyed it's functionality in Killzone! Biggest surprise feature to me is the speaker in the controller. This is a very nice addition!

The one small qualm I have with it is that I felt like the footprint of the analogue sticks could have been a wee bit larger. Otherwise, a great design! A-

3.) The User Interface is terrific! Fluid, fast, intuitive, simple, gorgeous! The layout is perfect and easy to navigate! A+

4.) Setup: By the time I had booted up the system and gotten through the user agreements, the 1.50 update had already downloaded in the back ground! When I went to System Update all it had to do was install it! A+

5.) Killzone Shadowfall: Only got to play it for a little while but from what I played I really liked it! Graphically it's a beast! High high resolution! Sharp! Lighting effects everywhere! I freaking LOVE the OWL! Need more time to get into it and tackle MP but so far I'm loving the game! A-

6.) Marvel Legos: Not really any different from the PS3 version but then again I didn't really expect it to be. Not a graphical power house but it's a TON of fun, plus I wanted to get something that me and my son can play together! A solid fun launch title! B+
