Ps4

WT is easy once you figure it out, but the lack of instructions is a ***** as far as researching plsnes etc when you firsr start.

Yeah, I don't see myself playing Mercenary Kings more than 15 minutes. War Thunder is cool even though I have no idea what I am doing.

Yes, when you figure out what you are doing as far as research, it makes complete sense............................lol

My brother and I split-screened Mercenary Kings today, it definitely brought us back to the days of playing Contra/Mega Man games. But it's really not much more than about a 30-45 minute time waster really. There's some neat RPG elements to it, but it's pretty repetitive in levels/enemies, and the lack of shooting diagonally (while it would probably break the way the game is designed) is kind of a bummer.

It's really hard to invest a marathon gaming session on something like it these days, but it's not bad.

Sony pumps up its PS4 update with game pre-loading and SHAREfactory video editor

We still don't have an exact timetable for when firmware 1.70 will arrive, but now we know more about its new "SHAREfactory" video editor and that game pre-loading is in the update. Many people are familiar with pre-loading via Steam and other PC services, which allows gamers to download pre-ordered games ahead of their release, then simply unlock the digital copy on the day it's "released." All it takes is enabling the PS4's "auto download" feature, and you're done, no more waiting while overloaded servers choke on release day.

The other big addition is SHAREfactory, a rich video editor app that will let gamers spice up their game recordings (which are getting a resolution bump to 720p) with filters and effects, music and picture-in-picture feeds from the PlayStation Camera. The music element is particularly interesting because it mentions both provided tracks and the ability to import your own original songs, even though the PS4 can't play MP3s right now. If that's a surprise addition to the list later, we won't argue. One other tweak is letting users decide which friends they will share a clip or screenshot with from the Share menu itself, instead of having to go back into settings first.

Also MS is using the number 5 million shipped vs. the PS4 number of 7 million sold. I bet the PS4 has close to a 3 million lead in consoles sold now. I just thought that with TitanFall they would pull off a small victory in March, but they couldn't even do that. With the Show coming out soon look for gap to widen after May. Also the PS4 looks to be the go to console for Destiny with its beta starting this summer.

I agree that the Gap will widen with the Show coming out. I have both systems and will be getting Destiny on PS4.

You forget that the XB1 was basically the same price as a PS4 in March (450 with TitanFall free). That sell is the reason I thought they would sell more.

Yeah but I think there are a lot of people who did not realize that offer was out there.

It's not just that. There's not one single major exclusive scheduled to come out for quite a while on Xbone. PS4 still has MLB The Show, The Last of Us Remastered (This will sell systems big time), Final Fantasy 14 just released, plus they have the superior version of Watch Dogs coming out (exclusive content), they will have the superior version of Destiny coming out (exclusive content), they have the Outlast expansion pack "Whistleblower" coming out. They have the Resogun expansion pack coming out. They have Drive Club still coming this year, etc.

All I can say is I hope Phil Spencer and MS have some heavy HEAVY artillery planned for E3 because if they don't, this war is going to be over fast. As owner of both consoles I really want both to do well but, damn! Titanfall was to be the X1's flagship game for 2014 and for PS4 to outsell the X1 on it's own home turf during the month of the X1's biggest title of the year is released, man that's just sad on MS' part.

Even I have to admit, I thought the X1 would outsell the PS4 in the states in March because of Titanfall. This really comes as a shock to me.

Yes I want both consoles to do good, because competition is good for the consumer. I heard on Gaintbomb that XBL is suppose to pull things like Netflix out behind of the paywall of XBL Gold. Why? Competition.

That would be a smart move. Make all the apps viewable without requiring a Gold membership. Ridiculous that they still do this.
