PS4 VS Xbox720

Agreed - based on the trailer, that game alone could make PS4 a release day purchase.

I do believe it is also coming out on the xbox....I think. The only exclusive that will blow me away and solidify me going sony first this time will be The Show 14

From what I've read, there is very little chance I will buy the next Xbox. And it certainly won't be near release date if I do.

undecided here....should hopefully have a better idea soon.

currently playing my xbox over my ps3. I only have a 360 because i spent my VN pickem contest winnings on a new one a couple years ago.

other than the always online BS, I'm thinking the difference between systems is going to be slim this time around.

I expect Sony to have a far improved online experience to rival MS; although MS does appear to be ahead in the motion senor gaming hardware area (if anyone cares about that)

the features differences will be pointless to most gamers...

Somehow I didn't think this would be the case. Leaving it up to the individual developer is the right move.

That is better than I had previously heard, but still not great as some developers will likely abuse this. Not allowing developers to force users to be always-on would be the right move.

Price and the "having to be online everyday" thing will determine which system I go with this time around. Didnt really see anything from the M$ reveal that impressed me honestly.

Always online restrictions not included on the Xbox One. It'll be interesting to see where Sony is in reference to that.

Sounds like Ms and Sony are united in attacking the used games industry. Ef this, pc time

May as well be always online, unless something has changed in the last 12 hours, the DRM will force you to be connected at least every 24hrs

Aside from a new noted examples, this shouldn't affect 99% of the people who are looking to buy something like this. To me, it's silly to drop $500-$600 on a console this advanced if you don't have the ability or desire to connect it to the internet so that you can get the most out of it.

I use my console online at least 99% of the time, my issue is that there is no reason to force the consoles to be connected at all. Whenever I go TDY or anything like that on an extended period to places that dont have internet, its ridiculous I cant turn on my xbox to pass the time.

i thought it was terribly impressive with all that it could do. the problem is, i would not use half of that mess that they showed. i'm in for a gaming console, not a console that will make me coffee and tell me good morning.

What if you have multiple Xbox's in one household with multiple profiles (I have a friend who has three 360's). Doesn't this mean you would have to purchase the game each time you set it up on a new profile?

Also, unless MS is planning on distributing special "rental copy" versions of their games to places like Red Box, this pretty much destroys the gaming rental business in one fell swoop!

I'm with you. It's nice to see that MS essentially fitted the Xbox with The Clapper. However their complete lack of focus on gaming disappointed me. I literally felt like I was watching a cable service infomercial.

Also, what is MS fascination with voice command? Maybe it's just me but I would feel like a complete idiot sitting there in my living room yelling out "Xbox TV." "Xbox on." "Xbox make me a cheese sandwich." Voice command capability SOUNDS cool and all but in real world implementation it is the most overrated feature ever devised! It is no more convenient than pushing a button.
