Doesn't matter how good the game plan is, if you have a QB that can't execute, he's going to make them all look like idiots. We have one of the best OC's in the bizz, a Heisman winning QB coach, a National Champion passing game coordinator.
It's beyond me how they can't devise an offense that can work with the current players ability to at least be competitive/ stay in the game.
I am genuinely curious and not trying to be sarcastic here. How many of the starters are still Butch recruits?
I agree. Not only that. Are they willing to put in the required work to improve? A coach can offer the information needed to improve. He can show you the way to improve. He can try and motivate you to improve. But, if you don't have pride in yourself and losing doesn't bother you then you are a loser! Plain and simple. You show me someone that doesn't mind losing and I will show you a loser. If I were coach Pruitt and I knew who those players were, they would not be on the field. I don't care if I had to play Freshmen and we were only one deep at some positions. I would play the walk ons before and would let a slacker were the Power T. It is past time to drop the hammer on those that don't put their heart and soul in to the program. There is NO MAGIC to improvement! It takes hard work and a deep desire to improve. You have to want it more than anyone else! GO VOLS!Only if the players are willing to be coached!
Pruitt is HC, so yeah, he shoulders the blame. But I'm also convinced that a lot of our troubles rest on the QB position and the player filling that role. And yeah, we can blame that on Pruitt too, but we're in season with no obvious fixes. Playing inexperienced QBs is not normally the best option, but at this point, it may be the only option.Look man we've been hearing this since Fulmer was canned. Next guy needs time to get his players in place. Next guy,the current ones aren't buying into the system. Next guy, the current ones while they are 4's and 5's on paper they really aren't that good. Next guy, you cant go by the rankings, blah, blah, blah.

We have a HC that is known as one of the best DC's in the bizz yet time after time the secondary get's touched and the LB's are running around like the clown car at the circus.
Again the team should at least look like they have played a game or two in their lifetimes.
I see one common denominator, the leader of the pack.
You have to hire the right guy to get the job done, apparently the powers that be have no idea how to do that.
At least until the upperclassmen are gone. The risk of losing playing time should be obvious to players. Those who work the hardest, prepare the best, and perform the best will play regardless of their age. If there are players creating these “alliances” (as if it is some realty tv show), then they need to be shown the door. This season is a loss anyway, so let’s complete the transition away from the players who do not want to work hard or do not want to play for the current coaches.Upperclassmen getting passed over by underclassmen creates dissension within the locker room. That will cause alliances and further divides throughout the team.
