Kinda wish Coach Pruitt would have thrown in an aaaiiiigggt when talking about the high school gameplan! I'm a big fan and hope he becomes the 1st assistant to beat old Nicky!!

Agree on Maurer. He got up and went back to team. Did not appear groggy or out of it in any way. Initially did not see any signs of a concussion. If he staggered when he got up or went to MSST sidelines or was shaking his head trying to clear cobwebs, that would be one thing. But I don’t remember seeing those things immediately after.
And he started trying to fire up the crowd. He didnt stumble, was easily waving his arms getting fired up. I would not have thought he had a concussion, but that is also why Im not a doctor lol

First and foremost if your still expecting him to say something bad about Bama then you’ll be waiting awhile

Secondly, it would be absolutely terrific if another T5 team got wrecked this weekend. That being said pull out all the stops and try everything. If we lose we’re suppose to if we win their world is wrecked.

I don’t think we’ll win but I absolutely believe without any doubt Maurer has the ability to beat Alabama down the road

How else is he supposed to respond to the pencil-necked geeks asking ABSURD questions that are actually THINLY-VEILED ACCUSATIONS of incompetence???
If you're upset about it--you just classified yourself.

Were those guys watching the game???

I was at the game--watching him with binos after he got hit....he gave absolutely NO EVIDENCE that he was injured.....

So, CJP was trying to use sarcasm to make a point.....there's collisions every play....when players get up and run back to the huddle---WHY IN THE HE&% would they have reason to expect that he was hurt??
Maybe the post you quoted wasn’t sarcasm. I appreciated the quote from CBJ as what he said was on point.

*Or maybe your post was all directed toward reporters. Hard to tell, but I think most agree with your premise.

Never said I was upset about it. But I do appreciate your enthusiasm.

The 25 annual recruiting class max needs to be addressed. It does kind of need to be managed (see Ole Miss), but it effectively keeps teams that are down, down, much longer. They almost need to an exception if you drop below a certain number of overall scholarships. Maybe you can sign 30 for 2 years if you drop below 70 scholarships.

We basically have a self assessed probation with only 67 scholarship players. I didn't know we were that low.

How many seniors do we lose at the end of this season (I quickly counted around 11...and looks like a lot of juniors)? Plus, we will have some transfers. So, we likely will have a deficit next year also...and maybe even the year after that.

67-11=56
+25 for next season = 81 without any transfers

Without looking it up, it seems like I remember us having like 13 seniors on scholarship.

6 seniors, maybe 7 counting Byrd currently getting to play I believe.

See above. I counted 11. It’s not just about playing time. It’s about depth for practice and games.

I decided to look it up. lol. These are the 13 scholarship seniors.

Nigel Warrior
Baylen Buchannan
Darrell Taylor
Daniel Bituli
Emmit Gooden
Brandon Kennedy
D. Wood-Anderson
Tyler Byrd
J. Jennings

Yeah, those two are expected back. I was just listing the total scholarship senior numbers to figure out where I had that 13 number in my head. Likely 11 that won't return, as EZE said.

I think that is the first time I have seen Pruitt making a joke. I *think* it was a joke on the gameplan at least. Maybe he should try it, 'bama is going to score on most possessions anyway, might take a few of their opportunities away.

That should put the roster at around 75-80 next season after transfers.

Not ideal, but workable.
