Pruitt's Anger

Are you an serious? The internal clock, what is that? You either feel the rush or you don't. He can't read squat and can't pick up the blitz.... So the coaches have him hurrying his passes.. not because he fill pressure but because he has NO idea what pressure is coming so better to have him rush the pass than hold the ball too long. The rushing the pass hurt his passing, which is usually very good. But good passing skills mean nothing if you either can't get the ball off or hurry your throws.
The offensive line is the reason we are stuck with the quick passing game...not his fault.

Exactly.....but will he fess up? Muschump been thru this numerous times with UT. JP knows Gus at Auburn cause he's used to playing him in the west. Different story in the east. Best he quits blaming the players because he and Helton have longer to go than they think. Plum-dumb play-calling and strategy.I'll explain in a different thread. Too pissed now.
Please do explain, I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for your wisdom

This is what I’m trying to say...the jg haters complain that he holds onto the ball to long sometimes and that’s fair...but then last night when he gets rid of the ball you say that he rushed it and is not aware of where the pass rush is? It’s contradictive imo. There hasn’t been a game where he has had a consistently clean pocket. Look I’ve been saying I’m all for whatever this team needs when it comes to this teams success but when it comes to people bashing a guy over and over when he hasn’t been the reason we have been losing games is just pure ignorance. It solely falls down to the offensive line pure and simple. Muschamp eliminated the deep ball with the cover 2 safety look all night, therefore the running game should have been along with short throws. If KC gets the nod next week I’m not gonna sit here complaining because I think he’s a good player; I’m simply frustrated with some of the people on here being so negative on Guarantano

Not really. I did see Pruitt get in the faces of some players and it looked like the f word may have been used more than once. I'm not saying that the player didn't deserver to be talked too but it might have been more appropriate to let the position coach or coordinator do it rather than the head coach loose his cool. I'm sure there a different opinions but the last head coach I saw lose his cool with players like that was woody hayes.
Lol.

If you think those actions are limited to those 2 coaches you havent watched much football.

YouTube Mike Leach. He has an epic postgame speech to his team IIRC at TX Tech.
I doubt that was just a rare moment.

Woody hayes is the only coach I can remember that actually hit a player and was caught doing it.
Watch the game again. At least twice he got in the faces of players as if he was going to attack them. And on one occasion a player got back in his face. Not sure why we haven't heard something about that... I'll try and post the player and time it happened.

And? What is your point? He got in the face of another player, wow I am shocked to the core to learn that a coach got in the face of another player. Now, the standard is "as if he was going to hit them". Football is way too physical for you, I would suggest maybe competitive diving or the pole vault.

"Defense lost that game", really, don't remember a unsportsmanlike penalties on D, or 5 false starts. I think 3 on 1 player. 75 yard penalties, South Carolina had 11. Side note-- How many times is UT going to throw it all the way across field for the most, maybe, a 3 yrd. pick-up. I saw that play till I was sick of it.

One was Nigel Warrior. And the idea that he went at him as if he was going to attack him is snowflake.

You haven't heard about it because it has happened thousands of times since Woody Hayes and thousands of times before him. He can't claim to have invented that. And Pruitt didn't reinvent it.

Text book definition of Faux outrage.

A good QB can force a defense to slow the blitz. Against bama KC did just that as when they blitzed they left receivers open. KC found those receivers and made bama pay. Against SC coaches used the screen to slow the blitz and SC did not blitz much 1st half. But the screen kills the run game because SC never played us deep. Our longest throw was onlu 18 yrds.

They played cover 2 all night...that’s playing the deep ball. Look if KC is what this team needs then that’s fine but I don’t see how JG should be receiving any criticism for the loss on Saturday.

Not critical of JG. It’s how his play limits the offense that I am critical of.

That’s complete BS!

God don’t support JG or you’re not a true fan who wants the Vols to lose.

You know how ignorant that sounds?

Actually, the same thing can be said about the KC worshippers who throw a tantrum everytime JG does something wrong.

JG isn’t the problem. I know he is 1-12 in starts in the SEC; however, he isn’t the problem. He Is tough as nails and throws beautiful swing passes.

Not challenging the td fumble is completely on Pruitt as is not letting the back up qb in the game. The starter either can’t see the field or just can’t throw the ball on time.

This post got dumber and more nonsensical the further it went.

JG looked like he was out of gas in the 4th quarter.
Yeah, just JG. Its all his fault. And if he was just a little gassed, could the fact that he got mauled and drilled into the turf on virtually every offensive play have had anything to do with it? Fact is, the SCar loss was on an awful defense that could stop the 3rd from the worst rushing team in the SEC from gashing them all night long.

Correctomundo KB. If you score 24 in the SEC your defense should win the game for you.

Lol. Pruitt a terrible job, especialky in the second half. The players did him no favors but he has quite a bit of blame for this one.

Give us a blow by blow, details that that include SC's defensive coverages, personal, clock strategy, scheme changes, Tenn's injuries, personal changes, blitz packages, cover Techniques, etc etc.... 12 minutes left on clock go and I'll hang up so you can impress us.
