It's been pretty impressive.

Pruitt has trained under the best. And looks like he has been planning this day for a few months now.

I was impressed with his mindset.

Which honestly says a lot about him. If guys are willing to leave their current posts and hitch their wagons to a first time head coach in a high pressure SEC job, then they must believe in him pretty good.

He wants to make us feared again.

Feared. Fear Tennessee's physicality on both sides of the ball. Fear the running game. Fear the speed and the long ball. Relentlessness on defense.

I like it.

I liked the whole line of scrimmage smash mouth football talk. Teams will NOT want to play Tennessee..THAT is where the program needs to be.

If CJP can put his money where his mouth is we might have ourselves a nice little run.

I've been o e of his biggest supporters on here when not many did...man gets it. As patterson said years ago we are too interested in winning at podium...not now Pruitt gets it

Press conference impressed me! I became a VFL in 1964. Moved to Rainsville, AL in 1976. I've always been a bamahater. Last night when I heard about Pruitt, my thoughts were: Just when I thought this coach search couldn't get any worse.....it did!! I was sick. I admit that I didn't know anything about him other than he was a born bammer. Anyway, after listening to him, I have a glimmer of hope. He did a good job answering questions. Its just hard to understand how one can change a life-long allegiance.

My favorite line:

This guy is going to be a great game-day coach, something the last two sorely lacked.

Papa Pruitt understandably might not have liked the belt story, but it cracked me up laughing. I could just visualize the entire scene. lol You know, I supported Lane Kiffin and then Mike Leach, and have no difficulty getting behind Jeremy Pruitt. I think he is a real football coach who knows his bidness.

He said a team plays like the demeanor of their coach.. Jones was not a tough guy.. a straight puss therefore team liked a bunch of girls... We might have hired a tough guy..

I just want to have a dominant offensive line and running game again. Goodness, John Kelly would have a field day behind a line like Bama's.

I know it's a long shot, but I keep dreaming of a line with Trey Smith and Cade Mays on it, and Ty Chandler having a 1,200 yard season behind them.

I wasn't so sure, but after the PC, I'm beginning to think Fulmer may have actually led us to winning the 2017 coach search sweepstakes. Yeah, I know The Gutters, The Auggie-Doggies of aTm, and some of the other schools may have paid their guys more dough to either come or to remain as coach. However, during that PC, Pruitt sounded like a winner. I believe he has already won over the players, the media, and much of the fan base... even some of the far extreme BAMA haters.

The fact that he gave up some of his salary to allow more money to be given to the coordinator/assistant salary pool says a lot about him, as well. This guy wants to win, and he wants to win now! I like several statements he made, "I expect us to win every game..." "You can't win by being cute in this league [the SEC]..." "You have to dominate the line on both offense and on defense if you want to win in this league... we are going to dominate."

One thing I loved about his presser - NOT ONE WORD about "Life Champions" or "Bricks'" ! ! ! That made Jeremy Pruitt a winner to me!

Go Coach Jeremy Pruitt... Go Vols ! ! !
