Pruitt talks offensive struggles

Indeed, there in lies the problem, but we do have as the butcher said, "Champions of Heart"
I think these young men do posses that, it's just some people are great at math or history etc., it doesn't make anyone a bad person. I just believe that some fans step outside the boundaries of being a fan, and it is really embarrassing to see that kind of behavior. It has opened my eyes to my opinions, some are just best to be kept to myself.

We haven’t had a good OL since Dooley’s group (that had Tiny and 4 other future NFL players). Butch and his ballet instructor Mahoney didn’t understand what an SEC line looks like or how to develop one. Every player we have on the line is basically a freshman because they haven’t been in a true S&C program or gotten coaching until this year. Despite their HS stars, guys like Richmond may never recover from the malpractice of Butch & Mahoney.

Help is on the way in the next class, but it would be nice if all or at least half could be redshirted — I’m just not sure we will have the luxury of doing so

Just pause a minute and think about this... we have an O-line that cannot block squat. How is that even possible after all the hours of film study, weight room, and coaching on and off the field. To see a guy whiff on a rusher over and over... he just looked completely lazy. You have to ask why is he getting playing time. It is getting to be a joke... some of the players effort is beyond embarrassing. I really do feel for Pruitt.... and think less and less of Butchie for the mess he left.
Shocking isn't it? That Oline can't grease a skillet. I never thought I'd ever see one like this at TN

If Pruitt has 5 big guys on the bench... put em in. It just cannot get any worse.

Did anyone catch CJP's halftime interview where he talked about the offensive penalties and said either they can be coached up or replaced? I wanted to get people's opinions on those comments. Myself, I like the straightforward approach versus the previous regime.

It is the truth. And the truth is he has to get this team playing better or he will eventually get replaced also.

Wouldn't you be? The Oline is a toilet paper tough... JG doesn't step up in the pocket.... Jordan is blind and slow..... they didn't even target Jennings.... I could go on and on
I'll tell you one thing, if I never see that 10 yd backward roll out JG does it will be too soon.....it even looks goofy...bad things going on here...man they can't even do slant or curls or outs even when they play Charlotte....give me a break...Tennessee is at a very low ebb...one of its lowest...I honestly thought we were going to at least improve some as the season went on and be even somewhat better to where you could at least see we had improved a little each game...
I can't understand not playing KC but yet saying they just can't do any better.....things not kosher somewhere

Who did we play tonight?
How many touchdowns did our great leader JG lead us too?
JG got a 65.5 QBR rating against Charlotte. Do you think that is acceptable?

As far as the triple coverage ... there were other plays he did the same thing.. He needs to learn how to look beyond his primary receiver but I don't think he can and I don't think the coaches think he can either and that's why they have him throwing screens and short timing routes.

The people that think JG’s shirt doesn’t stink are going to continue to argue with you. U may as well give up.

Apparently there are no conference USA caliber starters on the o-line. Either that or his O-line coach sucks.

They probably arent.... We havent had a real strength and conditioning program from the past few seasons....Our guys are undersized especially at guard and are getting whipped consistently. We need better Jimmie and Joes and it appears that we have some coming in next season.

Not all great coordinators make good or great head coaches. He may be realizing this fact. He also may realize that he should have hired experienced offensive and defensive coordinators, not a couple of rookie coordinators.

UT would have been much better off hiring a coach with head coaching experience. Even Butch did not look this bad in his first year.

I'm going to add that, behind Chandler, our RBs have not impressed me. I know the line is horrible, but none of the guys we saw today seem to be playing at an upper-SEC level.

Against Bama, this is an appropriate response. Against Charlotte, it sounds more like excuse-making.

He is talking about Drew Richmond without saying his name. After Drew's second alignment issue Drew started walking away from Pruitt, and Jahmir Johnson and Trey and to bring him back and talk to him.

Do you not remember the hype when we hired Rock?
