Pruitt "obviously" in trouble

I know that’s not to be true because he came and visited my brother at his high school last week
Not sure I understand what you’re saying. I don’t know who the “he” is in your post. Nieds has been asked to not tweet regarding recruits, or text recruits outside early signers.

A&M got Fisher. UF got Mullen and we got Gump. Somebody has there stuff together. Somebody is in the Top 10 even in a COVID pandemic season. Then there's somebody who's 3-7 with 6 straight losses in a season and has their school looking for a replacement AGAIN.
Now, remember the Sesame Street Song? Two of these coaches belong together. Two of these coaches are kind of the same. But one of these coaches is doing their own thing. Now, he's done lost another game.....

Its a long shot, I agree. But I'd make him turn down a truck load of money. Who knows if another reputable coach hears how much we're willing to pay, maybe it opens the door to actually hire a good one.

But again...we all know better. If Pruitt is fired and I still don't think it happens this year, we will end up with an up and coming coordinator or someone like Kevin Steele. Its the Tennessee way.

Agreed, this is the way. And I'm with ya there, doesn't hurt to poke the bear with a rather large sum of money. Even if he don't bite, maybe it stirs up a hornets nest elsewhere. I still can't decide if I'm ready to ditch Pruitt or not though. I'd say I'm 70/30 to give him the boot.

Seriously only Tennessee could cheat and still find a way to go 3-7. Ship the Gump back to the Alabama trailer park where he belongs.

Absolutely.

If an NCAA investigation isn't the final nail in the coffin after 3 years of 20 point losses to any team with a pulse, then nothing is.

What makes y'all think Meyer has ANY interest in stepping into this dumpster fire? He's reportedly been offered much better jobs and said repeatedly he's not coming back as his health is more important. I don't see it.

A metric ton of cash for Urban and the sweet elixir of hope in getting a coach besides Pruitt who may actually win some games of consequence again for the fans.

Money talks.
He has plenty of $$ and getting paid well sitting at the broadcast booth @ Fox so I don’t think $$ would entice him.

Urban has health issues and wouldn’t take a job like UT as it would be too much of a rebuilding process while competing vs GA, FL and Bama annually.

I could see him going to UCLA or USC if either job opened as the PAC 12 isn’t as daunting than the SEC but is a hot bed for recruiting.

Again, not that I disagree with the strategy, I have a 0.000001% chance of that actually working. Also, UT offering the amount of cash it would take to get a real, high profile, proven coach here is about as realistic as me inventing a cure for the hiccups!

Dabo? Really? Come on now. At least Meyer isn't coaching right now.

Not Dabo as in today, but we must aim high and speak those things as though there where. You look small, you'll find small. We need a proven winner. Someone who's been to the mountain top, or almost there. No more up and coming Coordinators looking for a HC position.

Oh I agree completely.

If Fulmer and his crew has any say, we will be looking at some retread defensive coordinator or a 3rd tier low level coach again.

Fulmer interviewed Pruit, Tucker, and Steele twice before settling on Pruitt.

Gives everyone something to talk about besides the smoldering garbage pile on the field though.

This thread could easily, simply be about A&M having the ball for 3 entire quarters of the ballgame. Literally 44 minutes! hahahahaha.... Our offense could've just hung out in the locker room until the 4th.

You could erase our memory of the entire season and just print that stat - and a thread about the "defensive guru" HC being in trouble would still be accurate.

When you spend enough time in the shaft, you can forget how far you've fallen.

Dabo or Meyer nothing less. Stop settling for middle of the pack coaches who aren't proven winners year after year.
Dabo??
Is that supposed to be blue font?

ETA:Ok I guess you're talking about a Dabo quality coach...yeah we need to just buy a diamond and stop fooling around trying to press coal into one

After losing so much money this year due to covid and greatly reduced Attendance plus the general fan apathy due to the terrible season, I am not sure the athletic department can afford to let Pruitt coach next year. They need a change and a coach that will generate excitement and ticket sales and Pruitt isn't that coach.
