Its a long shot, I agree. But I'd make him turn down a truck load of money. Who knows if another reputable coach hears how much we're willing to pay, maybe it opens the door to actually hire a good one.
But again...we all know better. If Pruitt is fired and I still don't think it happens this year, we will end up with an up and coming coordinator or someone like Kevin Steele. Its the Tennessee way.
What makes y'all think Meyer has ANY interest in stepping into this dumpster fire? He's reportedly been offered much better jobs and said repeatedly he's not coming back as his health is more important. I don't see it.
He has plenty of $$ and getting paid well sitting at the broadcast booth @ Fox so I don’t think $$ would entice him.Money talks.
A metric ton of cash for Urban and the sweet elixir of hope in getting a coach besides Pruitt who may actually win some games of consequence again for the fans.
Dabo? Really? Come on now. At least Meyer isn't coaching right now.
Again, not that I disagree with the strategy, I have a 0.000001% chance of that actually working. Also, UT offering the amount of cash it would take to get a real, high profile, proven coach here is about as realistic as me inventing a cure for the hiccups!
Dabo??Dabo or Meyer nothing less. Stop settling for middle of the pack coaches who aren't proven winners year after year.
