Pruitt "obviously" in trouble

Dabo or Meyer nothing less. Stop settling for middle of the pack coaches who aren't proven winners year after year.

LMAO. Dabo? Okay, I’ll bite. Why, in ANY scenario, would Dabo leave the phat check and comfy gig he has going on in the weak ACC to come to this dumpster fire?

What makes y'all think Meyer has ANY interest in stepping into this dumpster fire? He's reportedly been offered much better jobs and said repeatedly he's not coming back as his health is more important. I don't see it.
Money talks.

Because some delusional posters think Tennessee is the best job in college football. In reality, it’s barely top 20

I know that Nieds has been on communication lockdown for almost two months. He was instructed to stop tweeting, texting and contacting recruits who are not early signers. Pruitt had been interviewing position coaches, and that is also now on ice. At the very least things are in a very weird holding pattern.
I know that’s not to be true because he came and visited my brother at his high school last week

Apparently Texas was willing to offer a big time contract but Meyer told him he wasn’t interested.

Don’t get he wrong, I’d kill to have Meyer but I honestly think he’s done coaching.

his wife allegedly said he said he was “done”

The money was there to go with those recent offers. He still hasn't budged. He won't budge for this crapfarm.
Its a long shot, I agree. But I'd make him turn down a truck load of money. Who knows if another reputable coach hears how much we're willing to pay, maybe it opens the door to actually hire a good one.

But again...we all know better. If Pruitt is fired and I still don't think it happens this year, we will end up with an up and coming coordinator or someone like Kevin Steele. Its the Tennessee way.

Iirc, Peyton endorsed Schiano last go round. I'm ok with him not being much influence.

Those close to Currie asked what his PR plan was for hiring Greg Schiano. Schiano’s candidacy had been mentioned since Jones’ firing, but never elicited favorable responses.

Currie’s plan was to have national sportswriter Dan Woken write a pro-Schiano piece and to have Peyton Manning send a text to the VFLs, other key donors and friends of the program.

VolQuest - Closing the Currie Era, Part 1: Secrecy, Schiano and a Sunday sacking

I am fine with Peyton having nothing to do with any coaching search given he was on board with Schiano.
