Pruitt "obviously" in trouble

The proof is that now big program has hired him after his so much success winning...... hmmmm wonder why that is
Well, I'm glad you're happy with Pruitt. And he's proven he's a successful coach at a big time program right? So did Butch and so did Dooley. Glad we passed up Leach for all three of those guys. Made perfect sense. Those five losing seasons, 0--10 record against Bama, and 5-5 record against Vandy were just wonderful. You know what. You're right. We are in perfectly good shape as a program right now.

Not wanting Leach somehow equals wanting Pruitt.... the mental gymnastics by some here is amazing

If this investigation is from the UT compliance office and not the NCAA then its an inside hit job. This is their way of firing Pruitt with cause. A literal prayer answered by God if true.

I don't see how an inside job is good for the program. Potential sanctions that could last several seasons and it's not a good look for the program when a coach is being undercut like that. What elite coach is gonna want to be a part of this program when shady stuff like that is going on?

Scorched earth promotes regrowth?

Do you want Pruitt or not? Yes or no. And how was hiring Pruitt any better than passing on Leach?

I’m fine if we let Pruitt go. Saying that because Pruitt didn’t work out, we should have hired Leach is a long ass conclusion to jump too. Leach sucks and won’t last long in the SEC with his gimmick

I would hope that is not the case either.

And your right no elite coach would want part of this program if that's what went on. We would just end up with another Pruitt.

I think he would have been hired at a big-time program..until his incident with a player and high profile parent. He did coach at Oklahoma, if I'm not mistaken......and was revered as the best offensive mind in the country. I'd take him.

Leach sucks? You really are stretching. Can you please look up his overall record at Tech and Washington State and please post it for us. We need proof that he sucks. Not just a baseless opinion.

You obviously need to do your research because Leach didn’t wasn’t a head coach at A&M. For someone who clamors for “research”, you sure are awful at practicing what you preach

Lol. Sorry. Was discussing A&M with someone else on another board. Had both on my mind tonight. Anyways, it was edited while you respknded.

So go ahead. Post his overall record at Tech and Washington State. We'll be waiting.

139-90 with zero appearances in conference title games.

I figured that Fulmer would give CJP another year but with an investigation pending Fulmer might have his hands tied.

Side note: has anyone noticed a change of Pruitt's demeanor this year? He has the look of he knows what's coming

I haven’t. I’ve thought the opposite as he belittled reporters by saying crap like “if you know anything about football”, etc. Hes a bloody moron who should have never been the coach. Fuggin gumper

I think ALL Tennessee fans want to see our football program return to being competitive in every game, and also win as many games as possible each year. Whether you wish to retain Coach Pruitt or fire him, I think all of us need to remember that. I do believe, and it's just my opinion, that Coach Pruitt is not the answer, and honestly if he has been found to have known, condoned or participated in these alleged recruiting violations in any way, then I think UT has to strongly consider terminating him for cause. It just doesn't look good, coupled with the fact that the program has regressed dramatically this year, and most importantly, at least to me, if it's proven that he has been questioned and lied about anything at all as part of this investigation, then he needs to be let go.. Just my thoughts..

That's quite impressive for being a head coach at Washington State and Texas Tech. How many conference championships did Pruitt have as head coach before he was hired? That answer would be zero.

Leach did have to compete with Washington, Oregon, Stanford, USC among others in the PAC-12. Those programs all have much more money when it comes to athletics than Washington State and almost always get higher ranked recruits to come there. Not sure exactly what you have against Leach. Oh well.

Kind of like Butch during the end of the Missouri game in 2017?

So your comparing a first time head coach to a guy who is in his 19th season? Wow
