Pruitt made uga a top program... he can at UT also

“I worked closely with him,” Johnson said of Pruitt. “Pruitt has a unique way of coaching. It’s a constant focus to make sure his team is prepared. If it’s not right, he will continue until it’s done the right way.

I think I figured it out. All the issues we thought we had are due to the fact CJP is still prepping for GA State.

That QB option is tougher than Jarret GaurantTANo on a Saturday night in the 3rd qtr vs Alabama!

Does the correct spelling of nuthuggers have one or two 't's? I expect to use it a lot over the next few months and I want to get it right. I also want the correct spelling so I can go grammar nazi on anyone who misspells it while making a point that I disagree with but cannot rebut.

Did you just say Pruitt made UGA a top program? Richt averaged almost 10 wins a year for his entire career, Pruitt and the guys he brought to TN are the ones who got Richt fired. So, if by getting Richt fired you mean he made UGA a top program bc they hired Smart, I’d agree with that.

UGA is doing much better without Richt. Sure, he always had good recruiting classes, but I'm not sure anyone has done less with more than Mark RIcht.

They're no different from the nutthuggers of coaches that aren't here and probably never will be.

It’s a little different, most of the Pruitt worship comes from the fact Fulmer hired him. If Currie would have made the hire you probably wouldn’t be able to find 5 guys still supporting him.

It’s a fluid word that can be spelled either way.

Calling them "worshippers" and "nuthuggers" aside, I can see the Fulmer hiring Pruitt thing a big reason some or many trust him. I wasn't a fan of Fulmer behind AD but thought he would be a good AD for Pruitt, since he was a first time head coach. Currie probably wouldn't have hired him. But....?

I personally don't see much of a difference in some not liking Pruitt or not supporting him in the beginning, just because he was/is a bammer.

Think or say what you want, but I genuinely believe many support Pruitt because he's the coach. Many supported Kiffin, and still do or would, many supported Dooley and many supported Butch and Fulmer didn't hire any of them.

Its weird how mad others seem to get over it too. I see a pattern, don't really know exactly what it means, but all those that supported Kiffin, then Dooley, then Butch and now Pruitt will no doubt in my mind support the next coach, be it Urban Meyer, Mike Leach or Mike Myers...whoever.

I think it all comes down to wanting Football to be good.

Mine has nothing to do with Fulmer.
Has everything to do with the AD is broke so we can’t fire and hire anyone that will please the “hire and established coach crowd”

I agree with this to a point. The thing we all need to ask ourselves is what is an established coach. To me it doesn’t have to be a NC winner it just has to be someone with a successful resume as a winning coach in D1.

So, former Georgia player, and former Georgia GA, who now hosts a radio show called "Football Fridays in Georgia", thinks UT should keep Pruitt because of reasons?

Maybe we should just let our rivals pick all of our coaching staff in the next search?

Sounds like Johnson is angling for a job on Pruitt's staff more than anything.

All the pipe dreams aren’t coming
Mike Leach isn’t worth the money

It’s not our choice anyway. The people got “their choice” this time next time it’ll be the fat cats choice. They’re just waiting to say I told you so and laugh.

My problem from the beginning with the Pruitt hire was that we severely overpaid and have a lopsided buyout for a 1st time HC. Fulmer could have gotten Pruitt for 2mil or less.

You don’t go balls deep on an experiment or your 4-5 choice (as people say he was).

Will UT ever be good again in your opinion?
