Pruitt losing the team....

So you have a huge problem when 2 guys have to be separated on the sideline - one of the more uneducated comments that I have seen in a while. Sorry - but you whiffed on this one...

Here is our offense watching the game on the jumbotron. The 2 coaches in the semi-circle were also watching the jumbotron. The players looked as if they wanted to be anywhere else but there. I saw the fight with JG on the sidelines. It didn't change a thing with this group. This is not coaching and it sure as hell is not supporting your fellow defensive players.

I'm not sold on TAMU as a top 10 team; I hope they can mpake it to our game undefeated. It would be a golden opportunity to salvage something of our season. With decent QB play, we should be evenly matched.

UF was caught napping and probably is a top 10 team.

I read an article somewhere this week indicating Pruitt places a high premium on practicing. Even he said in the article if the player was bigger, stronger, faster but had not practiced much or well then the players that did practice the most or well play more. He indicated the kids on the team understand that, they know who's been practicing and working hard and who has not and therefore who has worked to play in the games. He sees the gamne as a reward for practicing. This is fundamental with CJP and explains why we see one QB playing well even into garbage time in a lopsided loss. 2 of the 4 prime QBs have not practiced much (no fault of their own), therefore, they're not going to play much. Now what you have here IMO is an emotional response rather than the reason of a professional. The professional in tough times uses any tool at his/her disposal to succeed or get on a path to winning. The emotional type has something in his /her experience that drives him/her to commit to acting a certain way given their past.

Things were way worse the year before Pruitt got here. Remember He did go 8-4 last season after many predicted 2-10 after Georgia state. Case is still open on this season.

He’s trying to build a program the right way. If you start playing guys who don’t practice (well), you’re really gonna lose your team. The idea is The best players Should be the ones setting the tone in practice.

Building a team the right way include starting players who give you no chance to win? That must be the progressive way of doing things.

The bigger concern is the schedule is not softening as it usually does in November, Arkansas will get A & M while are are off and then the night game in Fayetteville, followed by a visit from the Aggies who should be a top ten team when they get here and then off to Aurburn as Gus tries to hang on to what remains of the Tigers season, Tennessee will need to score in those games and we haven't been lighting it up on the offensive side of the ball, I hope Pruitt understands this November won't be like the last two

When he didn't make the (impossible) catch, the cameras caught JG barking at him. At least in his direction. I had figured that Palmer was responding to JG's attitude.
Im just amazed it took this long. I was shocked it didnt erupt after the 2nd pick 6 in a row vs KY. I wont say JG is the reason we lost 3 in a row, but he is a reason why we didnt win.

Did you even read the article? Things got heated - ok, good. Shows they care. But then "Guarantano went back up to him and calmed things down. The two had a pretty long, measured conversation about the play." Nothing to see here.. especially not that "Pruitt is losing the team." Good grief.

To answer your question, NO he didn’t read the article. He wanted to start another thread trashing CJP and staff. That’s our society.

You realize Texas A&M isn't coming into our game undefeated, right? Bama already blasted them.

When players start fighting each other on the sideline you have a huge problem and anyone could have seen it coming. That is everyone other than the head coach apparently.
Jarrett Guarantano, Brandon Johnson separated by coaches after failed fourth down
He is not losing the team. Some players who are underperforming may realize that they are likely to see less playing time because they are not pulling their share of the load. I like it that Johnson doesn't like losing and is willing to try to let people know they have to do better. Peer pressure is good, often better that a chewing by the coach. It is evident that there are underachievers who are playing and need to pick it up or sit on the bench. All the players will get the opportunity to earn their playing time. I think we will se some changes against Arkansas.

Misleading title, players arguing doesn’t mean anything. It’s football, they are gonna argue.

“Parents losing control of the family, two brothers arguing...” - same thing

I feel they're overrated as well. They barely beat Vandy, then lost to Bama as bad as we did. I think the win over FL was a fluke, but guess we'll see.

Regardless, they are in fact a top 10 team. Tennessee got blown out by unranked UK. There's no way we beat TaMu.
Looking for the team like we had up to half at Georgia and a turnaround like last year after the Ala game
