I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the stuff he said about offensive coordinators really concerns me.
As Tennessee fans, we know better than anybody how important offensive playcalling is. Look at the Jones era. Playcalling can lose you games when you have the talent to win. I dont want another first time offensive coordinator. Look at how that worked out with Larry Scott.
CBJ's issue was not just play calling. It was his whole system and the fact that his players did not fit well into it. When your offense revolves around a read-option, and you don't have a mobile QB who is a threat to keep the ball, it becomes predictable and very easy to defend. My girlfriend was able to call out our plays before the snap
