Umkay:
Memphis sucks azz. If a kid is high character, he’ll do all he can to get out of that **** hole and not disparage our law enforcement.
Do you have kids?
Kids choosing where to go to college “need” help and advice from parents or loving trusted adults.
I can assure you when it came time for my kids to make one of the biggest decisions in their life (at the time), I helped and it certainly “was part of my business. I tried my best to make sure they made an informed decision, and helped them (in whatever way the needed) make the best decision for them.
Parents know more (most) and make more rational decisions than children (most).....even 18 year old children. They “should” always be involved.
Every major decision my children made (before getting married.....and even in the “marriage” process) I would always help them in order to made the best decision possible.
If people love their children they “need” to help them make sound decisions.
Just the opposite. Banks skated on the first offense. Probably told Pruitt not to worry about it. Probably had the attitude he was getting one over on the police by not paying. Laying this on Pruitt’s feet is crazy to me. I think the kid has a poisoned view of how the world works and it not him.Pruitt screwed this kid over. The warrant that kid had should have been resolved. The school could have paid that ticket off for the kid. Banks did his part the school knew the kid situation, but Pruitt didn't make sure the situation was taking care of. Bad on coach Pruitt part.
I had never watched the whole video until now. The video at the club isnt that bad...I am not proud of it, but in my youth I had to step outside of bars and clubs and settle things a few times. I was never on a 40k a year full ride with food and housing, with a decent shot at making the NFL and millions one day though...but i cant say for sure that I could have held my temper at that age regardless of what was at risk.
The video where he threatens cops repeatedly...calls them names, challenges their manhood, indirectly threaten to beaf or shoot them were circumstances changed...he is a thug. I used to be a thug too, much the same. Just a different skin tone. Then I grew up.
That guy is a timebomb though. Coach made the right call.
Yall will trash him for it...but you trashed him for NOT doing it too. So your opinion is worthless based solely on that fact.
GA State! The new retort to any argument. It’s easy. “Why did you steal that money son?” “Well officer, GA State!” “Why did you cheat on me?” “Well honey, GA State!” Works in any situation for any argument.Or, the players can behave, Pruitt can hold players more accountable, and they can start beating the GA State’s of the world.
But you didn't step out of bars to settle things with females, I assume.
Somehow, an awful lot of people still think the arrest video was about one comment made to police when it was much more than that, as you've found. I think either event was grounds for dismissal but when it looked at though they'd retain him, at minimum he should have been indentured to the PD for community service hours.
I'm not sure how the bar video is "new information", but really hope it is. If UTAD sat on both, it'll get ugly.
He shouted " I've been thuggin"
Which means I better not get any crap for calling him a thug. He owns it. No waaaay he did college school work. We got some academic fraud going on too. I suppose every school must.
Exactly. 1) this wasn't about one comment, and 2) if Pruitt or the AD knew about this (and I'll be shocked if they didn't know the police had been called on one of their players) and tried to cover it up, somebody is going to get drug over the coals.
Also, I'm surprised people haven't questioned who was actually filming the second video. Banks clearly strikes either the camera or phone they are holding (if not also their hand/arm), which is assault. Surely the female you can hear on video isn't who was holding the camera.
Total BS
I was on CJPs side with keeping him on the team and helping him become a better man...this reeks of caving to pressure..
I swear i hope he figures out how to win because this "lost as a ball in high weeds" act is getting tiresome.
Given the attitude of some of you folks here, I hope every talented Memphis player either plays at MSU, or at one of our SEC rivals programs. We lose quite a few already, I think they all should forgo being Vols. Instead, go where folks don't auto-dump them into a thug basket just because they're from Memphis.
I'm SHOCKED (no, just kidding), I wonder how many idiots (Many on this board) will actually be shocked? You know the type that don't live in the real world, had/have trouble recognizing a thug and future trouble to the program, when they see it. I won't be surprised if a lot more information, regarding past "problems" surfaces. I also won't be surprised to read where banks has been arrested (some time in the near future) for a serious crime, one he'll have trouble "so I'ze can bond out", to quote bank's video. When this happens, once more UT's reputation will be smeared, as he'll be associated with the program in the first line of the story.New information from yet another incident surfaced
