What is Fulmer’s buyout? Also, isn’t he like the 4th highest paid AD in the SEC? How the **** does that happen?

No way Pruitt is going anywhere after this season. I think he needs 6 wins next season minimum to stay, 8 wins in 2022 or he gone.

Anyone know exact details??
If he’s fired this year UT owes him 13 million?
Then next year? And year after that?

When does his contract expire?
It's not only his buy out one has to take in to account...the staff would be HUGE!

Probably true.

I wonder if UT could file suit against Jones for not finding comparable employment? That language was in his contract that he had to seek comparable employment which he's obviously yet to do with his 35K a year salary

Hopefully Arkansas is successful in their suit against Bielema and we use that to go after Butch.

if TN wants to be relevant again in football, we need a "proven" head coach... not a "let's hope this person figures it out and we don't have to pay them as much"

Well there sure wasn't a hell of a lot of Proven Coaches lining up during the last two coaching searches so what makes you think that they would be this time? Yes he has signed 3 recruiting classes, but in reality "His" classes that he actually had time to recruit are only the last two thus making them Freshmen, Red Shirt Freshmen or Sophomores. He had a month to try and hold together the class that Jones had put together but was able to add a couple to it. But then that don't matter I guess. We need to fire ourselves to profection.

I agree completely. The University athletic department and the donors surely realize how much apathy there is around the program right now. It's harder to judge because they're at 25% capacity in the stands, but they realize that ticket sales were dropping at the end of Pruitt's first year. The loss of Revenue to a department that is used to making a hundred and sixty million dollars a year is definitely going to overshadow the payout over 5 years of 12.5 million dollars. You see, we're going backwards and there's nothing that is indicating that Pruitt has any answers to quarterback development or improvement at any player position since he still is relying heavily on old Butch Jones recruits like Palmer, Brandon Johnson, Trey Smith and Jarrett Guarantano. Eric gray is the one performing player that he has recruited that is consistently out there helping us in games. UT needs to shoot this horse now.
You left out Too'Too'. Pruitt brought him in also.

I suspect that is probably the line of thinking....he inherited a mess, it takes time, COVID, etc etc etc...

However, GSU, BYU, and the complete cluster**** this year should throw those reasons to the wayside. It's clear this guy can't and won't get it done. Add in you have a guy on the outside looking at us drooling that has beat Saban twice and Smart once and people are rightfully anxious.

Meanwhile on top of all that the fanbase will be watching while Florida drops a 50-spot on us and we are told nothing can be done about it.

We are further behind FLA, Bama, and UGA and now it seems we have been passed by KY and an ARK team that was winless last year in conference. We are going backwards and picking up speed.

This needs to change. It just does.

NO UT Fans will disagree with the "This needs to change" comment, I don't believe he has had the chance to really change the culture or the roster.

It's an administration thing.

Fulmer giving an extension and a raise is simply insane. It reminds me of these people who get paid big $$$$$$$$$ at your job, but they do nothing, know nothing, and are just cashing checks for simply breathing.

There is zero fiscal responsibility going on at the University of Tennessee. People crap on Jimmy Hyams, but I'll tell you this......his claims about UT not having $10-14 million available to buy out the Pruitt Gang is becoming sharper and more true every day. I honestly think if UT loses to Vandy, Pruitt will still be employed.
