UPDATE
Here are two more teams that I found to be very interesting especially in terms of development:
2021 thru this week 2025
Currently ranked #2 Indiana 21-23 but current coach Tom Cignetti 2024-2025 record 21-2. Current 2025 roster: 5* 0, 4* 8, 3* 52, 2* 24. Louisville 40-22, 3rd year under Jeff Brohm, his 3 year record is 26-10. Current 2025 roster: 5*0, 4* 15, 3* 52 , 2* 2. Tennessee's current roster: 5* 4, 4* 44, 3* 29, 2* 1. I appreciate the roster rebuild and the stabilty CJH has brought, but next year I would like to see some signifcant development from his staff. Our defensive tackling is bad. I hope they can land at least two good secondary players in the portal. CJH is under contract til 2030, no sense in being irrational. We have talent, we need to get them up to par.

Citing Indiana and Louisville to compare them to us is ridiculous.

No it isn't. Indiana is ranked #2 in the Nation. my reply was to the OP and HIS comparison to many other ACC and BIG 10 schools, which both are members of, and their 4 year records as comapred to Tennessee. The praise for CJH is worthy for rebuilding of our program status and roster plus having us rannked. Me mentioning Indiana and Louisville is valid to the rest of the teams and confrences on the OP's list. I am simply giving legit accurate roster info and pointing out the great work that those two coaches have done in developing their players in a short amount of time. I am against any talk about getting rid of CJH. But to look at the CFB landscape and ignore D1 coaches who are over achieving with inferior rosters against superior D1 rosters is just stupid. By the way both are ranked higher than Tennessee in the AP poll and Playoff poll.
