He has a lot of things to look at in his program. 2026 will be a make or break year for him. If he makes no changes In his defensive staff in 2026 he better expect to be in the hot seat in 2027

Watching CJH press conference is excruciating.
He didn’t really answer a question and he kept chomping on that gum. I’d like to see him throw something and apologize for the crap we saw on the field tonight.

Video please

Heupel has checked out, if he was ever checked in, I suspect that he and maybe White Danny are looking for an exit strategy as their fraud on the fans has been exposed, the NIL exchange has probably hit its ceiling, the costs to the fans has greatly and exponentially outpaced the football staff's maturity and success with the program. Heupel is at his ceiling at Tennessee and in the SEC. A & M and now Vandy have reached greater heights in a shorter amount of time than anything Heupel could cobble togather.

I wish Heupel would raise hell a little on the field. On the drive in which Vanderbilt went ahead for the final time, Vanderbilt converted a first down after the play clock expired. Kirby Smart would have been on the field telling the officials how to do their jobs..
He rarely shows anything like rising hell on the sideline…

If the defense doesn’t improve in 2026 he’ll be on the hot seat regardless of any changes he makes before the season…

This is the press conference that should concern.

"We got to attack practice every day more seriously."

What SEC team doesn’t think they need to attack every practice seriously?

Like I said, Heupel is a nice guy. Just walking around with his backwards hat, baggy shorts and smacking gum. “Aight guys go throw a few passes and then let’s have some pizza from Barleys”

Nice guys don’t win natties
