President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Zero. When my family immigrated here we weren't $38 trillion dollars in the red. That will come home to roost. When it does entitlements will have to be scaled back. We owe this money to citizens first. This shouldn't even be a discussion anymore
We may owe it to citizens first but the MIC will get first crack at it.

YouTube will pay $22 million to settle the claims made by Trump to the nonprofit Trust for the National Mall, which is “dedicated to restoring, preserving, and elevating the National Mall, to support the construction of the White House State Ballroom,” according to a court document.

The social media company will also pay $2.5 million to settle with other plaintiffs, such as the nonprofit American Conservative Union.

Meta agreed to settle Trump’s lawsuit in January for $25 million. X’s settlement in February involved a payment of around $10 million, according to the New York Times.

A federal judge agreed Monday to temporarily suspend the Trump administration’s plan to eliminate hundreds of jobs at the agency that oversees Voice of America, the government-funded broadcaster founded to counter Nazi propaganda during World War II.

US District Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington, D.C., ruled that the US Agency for Global Media cannot implement a reduction in force eliminating 532 jobs for full-time government employees on Tuesday. Those employees represent the vast majority of its remaining staff.

Do the 532 people working at VoA know WW2 is over?

Yes there I go. Your telling someone to not worry about feds pulling that crap merits such a response. You're saying 'take it and don't complain'.
Who did I come to defend? I was addressing you, the one who recommends letting the government piss in your mouth.

You’re commenting on something that you know nothing about.

There’s a reason I posted that specifically to that person because of a comment that he made in another thread.

Go do your homework.

Is the package paying the entirety of their healthcare or just part and they pay some too?

You're from a family whom immigrated here in the past. Doctor's prices were manageable within a budget, likely at the time your family came to the US for freedom and an opportunity for prosperity, right?
you realize a good bit of the reason healthcare is unaffordable now, probably a majority of the reason, is because of the government.

when the government is the problem there is no reason to think more government will fix anything.

Just so everyone is clear. The budget fight being discussed isn't healthcare for illegals. It's healthcare for lawfully present immigrants. Not saying I am for that. But there is confusion

Your post doesn't tell the whole story. It makes it appear that all legal immigrants are denied coverage. First of all the KFF org is a liberal group who favors gov't paid healthcare...and even they state that green card holders are still eligible. It also states that some of these folks were only recently eligible due to a move by the Biden admin last year. This Trump move just restores it back to what it was prior to 2024.

Remember this is just gov't assisted healthcare. All these folks can still do what I do, go out find an insurance broker and buy your own care. That's the American way

U gonna get fussed at.

Then I'll leave it between you two. You know that the something somebody said in another thread thing doesn't pop up in this one, so your comment sure looked like yet another 'bow down before our spray tan messiah' defense of Trump's power tripping. My apologies if you are in fact not a boot licking toady.
