Is the package paying the entirety of their healthcare or just part and they pay some too?

You're from a family whom immigrated here in the past. Doctor's prices were manageable within a budget, likely at the time your family came to the US for freedom and an opportunity for prosperity, right?

Zero. When my family immigrated here we weren't $38 trillion dollars in the red. That will come home to roost. When it does entitlements will have to be scaled back. We owe this money to citizens first. This shouldn't even be a discussion anymore

Dr's prices will not change as long as 3rd party payors are structured the way they are. Including Medicare and medicaid.

We should only import people who can pay their own way. No welfare for noncitizens. If you don’t like that, I’d recommend forming a charity to help.

Only a couple hundred pickers are kept thru the off-season. We depend on government funds to
feed and house them and of course free health care. Most understand how to us their EBT cards.
We hope to start a tequila business soon but are having difficulties with the cactus. Wish us luck.

I agree. Still doesn't change the facts as to the costs in those times. It was more of a retort to railing against health costs of that time and now. Certainly we're more restrained as a country now because of deficits and debt. Doesn't change the principled dynamic of our acceptance of immigrants seeking asylum here

We will have to accept immigrants. Our aging population and negative replacement rate will demand it. It's why fixing our spending and immigration have to be our top priorities. But instead we get a penis measuring contests between two sides with tiny penises

I know we can't really afford it, but we could had we not spent incessantly unnecessarily on other things. We're unnecessarily spending right now as you know
