That's true and very fair to point out. The American people are getting what they voted for .... which is more bitter division.

Hopefully, there will come a time when we can all rally around a unifying, and fully committed leader. I'm losing hope on it ever happening in my lifetime.

The cries of socialism from the right are obviously selective outrage.

Donald Trump is slowly dissolving one of the Republican Party's best platforms for attacks against Democrats - that they are socialists - with his own socialistic agenda, which few Republicans in Congress are speaking out against.

Yeah. I've been saying it for years, he's destroying the right from within as only a left-wing politician could. They'll have nothing left to say to the left about anything by the time he's done. Family values angle is destroyed. Corruption concerns are destroyed. Concern at all for deficits = done. Concerns over market intevention = done. Concerns about straight up socialism = over.

I would actually estimate more like 10-20%. Most of my friends, colleagues, and family voted for Trump, but very few of us "like" him as a person or support his antics. Between the two choices presented, Trump aligned more with our positions on key issues, and we saw him as more capable of leading the most powerful country and military on Earth. That's how voting works.

Nonetheless, many libs (including several in this forum) lump all of us into "Dumb MAGA," which is a) divisive, and b) creates an inflammatory galvanization against the Democratic party.
