Lol. The National Weather Service has NEVER been able to accurately predict the amount of rain that would fall.It is a provable, flat out lie to say that the forecasts for how much rain would fall were accurate or "precise." The National Weather Service underestimated the amount of rain that would fall by about 50%, in fact.

Why not?
...and it hasn't happened (at least not yet). So, you actively criticize Trump for using FEMA. Had Trump not activated FEMA, you'd be criticizing Trump for not activating FEMA. Everyone here knows the liberal playbook, LG.These are all comments by Trump. No spin. No guessing what he meant. He said it.

Some disasters represent such a large and immediate effect that a state cannot handle it, alone. Fires, hurricanes, flooding. It has never been perfect, but it has helped a lot of people in dire circumstances and ending it because you want to sound like you are promoting state's rights and responsibilities -- and then 30 days later deploying it -- makes you look like the fool you are.
It it no way makes him look like a fool for wanting to get rid of FEMA and then deploying it 30 days later.
The states would have to to have time to set up their own disaster response systems and supplies if FEMA was ever truly gotten rid of. We survived and thrived without FEMA for over 200 years so I think the concept is proven that states can manage.
No. You were going to use this disaster to criticize Trump regardless of what he did or didn't do. You just had to determine what spin you were going to use this time.I am, rightfully, criticizing him for saying he wants to end a program which he then in turn uses within 30 days of saying that. He deserves to be criticized for saying it in the first place.

You do realize that Donald Trump was one of those people who was directly blaming Biden/Harris for a bad federal response and/or lack of preparedness for Helene .... right?
When it comes to politicians, it is often the same people who are defending themselves now, and decrying the politicization of a tragedy .... that were so quick to blame other politicians in the past for the same thing they now say shouldn't be politicized.
It is a toxic culture of hypocrisy and selective outrage based solely on tribal politics.
