Just stop! You will be rioting by yourself. Never been a riot just a lot of fans voiced their opinion. Never seen any physical chaos. Actually Steele with a very strong staff might be a good hire. I don’t see him coaching very long because he is no spring chicken and that’s where Tee could be HC in waiting.

If Phil hires Steele instead of going after Leach, Miles, Morris, or Martin then the program is straight doomed. Butch Jones deserves a better replacement than Kevin Steele. That's not even morally right.

I hope this Steele communication is for a defensive coordinator position. If I read the headlines that Kevin Steele is in the process of finalizing a deal to become the new hc at tennessee, i'll honestly be more disappointed than I was when i read the news about schiano. oh my gosh thatll be such a LET DOWN after all of this waiting and stress...

If its Kevin Steele, Ill be happy we didn't hire Schiano. And that will be it. I wont go to spring game, I probably wont renew my season tix.

I'm sure people within the AD know more than we do about Kiffins tenure at UT.

Maybe there is a reason, other than the obvious, why they don't want him back.

Maybe Fulmer thinks Gene Chizik won at Auburn.

You need to get over this. That was a long time ago and no one won at Baylor until Art Briles built it up. Winning at Baylor is akin to winning at Vandy. It's a private Baptist University for crying out loud. What do you expect?

I agree Steele would not be my first second or third choice, venables is definitely a better option if he could be lured away to Tennessee. But all this hate on Steele for a three year coaching stent at a school that, at the time, cared nothing about football is crazy. Plus it was ages ago, people evolve and learn from other coaches. I would support a Steele hire if that?s what Phil does, but he better at least reach out to others first. Or else it would be another buddy hire and we had enough of that with Currie
