Premiere League & World Soccer Thread

We made history tonight, together. A night we'll never forget. And now, one more moment is waiting. One more match to finish the story. USL Final - Sunday, November 16th at 5:00pm at Covenant Health Park.

So glad this will be the last international break until spring. Feels difficult for the league season to gather any real momentum when it’s three weeks on and two weeks off like it’s been so far. Not counting any additional European and Cup games, everybody should have at least 20 PL games before another break.

Coming into the season my thoughts on the league was that after what Liverpool spent and the players they got that they’d run away with it. We all know what Isak can do and has done it in the PL so that one is even more head scratching, but I also felt that Wirtz wouldn’t have a big problem adjusting to the PL. I still think Isak will be fine and he will come good, but multiple red flags are showing up for Wirtz. Can’t judge him just yet though obviously. Still too early.

Now, just want to leave this thought here: If Arsenal fail to win the league, or any trophy for that matter, Arteta should probably be out of a job. Too much talent in that squad the last few seasons to not win something. There just becomes a point you have to start asking the difficult questions of if you think he can bring home a trophy.

Putting the cart before the horse here though. This season is Arsenals trophy to lose. It’s a long year and things change quick, but clearly in the drivers seat so far.

This tweet is over a month old and Keane scored again this weekend, so he’s now up to two goals. Wirtz still stuck on zero.

So Edwards is leaving Middlesbrough for Wolves. Interesting. Middlesbrough has a better chance of being in the premier league next year than Wolves.

That Scotland vs Denmark match today was incredible scenes. Scotland make the World Cup for the first time since 1998.

Rough first half for VAR at Anfield, but 1-0 to Forest is just about right. To me, they got them both wrong. By the standard of goals that have been disallowed in the past for obstructing the keeper, that one should have been ruled out. Second goal was NEVER a handball.
