Premiere League & World Soccer Thread

At least I was able to catch the W for the Derby at Anfield earlier in the season. Catching any W for LFC was a treat this year unfortunately
I'm fully expecting Everton to get at least a draw from the match. Since I started supporting Everton in 2013, Liverpool have only taken all three points in our home match twice. Both times, I was in attendance. I'm pleased to report that I will not be in attendance next weekend.

This has been the most entertaining PL season in ages. League not nearly so top-heavy and there’s interesting storylines at all parts of the table.

That said, I’m SO grateful Everton aren’t in the relegation scrap this year. Not sure those couple teams that barely survived a few years would be good enough this season.

I think the title is decided next weekend.
$20 says Arsenal just parks the bus while playing for a draw. Unless City score early and the game opens up after that, I think we may just see one boring ass match. Hope I’m wrong, I’d love to see a good match. I’m certainly not getting to see it from Chelsea matches.

Yeah, I think you are right, Arsenal will be even more boring than they have been all year. A draw and Arsenal wins the title.

Would have been difficult for this weekend to have gone much worse for Spurs. Starting to get into must-win territory for them now, which they have yet to do this calendar year.

I was counting on Leeds or Forest to falter the rest of the way, that is looking less likely.

I hope Arsenal do that. Lost 2-0 in the cup final when they did it last time

All three of the other relegation battlers have winnable games this weekend. Particularly if West Ham win, and Spurs don’t beat Brighton, it starts getting into Great Escape territory.

When it’s all said and done, it’s probably going to take 36-38 points to survive. Six games to go, seems easy enough. Then you look back at the results and realize they’ve only accrued 8 points from their last 19 games.
