Predict Where They Go

I just want to say, it's bit "obvious" that all 7 of those guys won't get drafted. I could easily see it. 5 are already 100% going to be drafted.

Riddick couldn't get a GM job, so that doesn't lend much weight to his player evaluations.

He's still very much connected with NFL front offices. If he's saying Dobbs is the top QB from this class, then it must not be a very outlandish prediction.

Riddick and McShay are just reading the tea leaves that Dobbs goes in the 1st round on Thursday.

Not in the least. Dude has been a scout for years. He left Philly during the Kelly regime change, and I understand taking a TV gig rather than going back into scouting. But he's thrown his name into the hat for GM jobs over the past 3 or 4 years and has yet to land one of them. There's a reason.

Yes, the reason is there are 32 of those jobs in the world and LR is one of about 10 who got an interview last year.

So his inability to get one of 32 GM jobs, last year, means his opinion is worthless? How many people do you suspect get interviews at all? You don't throw your name into the GM hat, they call you and if they do, you go. You're suggesting that only 32 humans know what they're talking about. My cousin is the director of pro personnel for an NFL team, I bet he'd be disheartened to find out his countless hours of scouting mean nothing....until he gets a GM job in 2 years, at which point his opinions will matter?

How do you think someone gets the job if nothing they do beforehand reveals any knowledge? Why have a director of pro personnel (Riddicks former job) if none of them know anything. Your contention that if you can't get one of 32 GM jobs, you know nothing, is a bit ....extreme?

Riddick knows the game, he gets offered NFL jobs every year, but he'd only leave ESPN for a GM job, one he may get. The fact that he lost out to a child's hero (Lynch) says more about what an imbecile SF has running things than it says about LR.

Riddick wont take a job in the NFL if it's not the GM job and with a coach he wants to work with. He pitched himself and McDaniel, York wanted Shanny ....because of that, Riddick knows squat about football? Agree to disagree there. I have a lot of family who has coached and worked in football for a long time, none are GMs, but they see things few do and I think it would be silly to dismiss their opinions.

Riddick, as of 10 minutes ago, has Dobbs 4th.

You may have more insight than I do. I won't pretend to have insider info into the workings of all 32 teams.

But you're focusing on him not getting one job that he interviewed for this year. You're ignoring the multiple openings for which he couldn't even get an interview since he left scouting in 2013. I know for a fact that he made his interests known to the Titans before they hired Jon Robinson, and he never received a sit-down.

Either way, I'm not dismissing your thoughts on the guy. He just doesn't impress me all that much.

I guess we'll have to ask that guy on Twitter why he made that tweet if it wasn't true.

So, you're wanting us to accept the word of Jeremy Hockenberry, fast pitch softball coach, that Riddick has Dobbs as his top-rated QB despite the fact that there is no evidence that Riddick ever said it?

Are you saying that you doubt the "inside" information of Dobbs4Heisman? Next thing you'll be trying to tell me that Dobbs can't run a 4.4 40-yard dash.

No prize involved, just want to see who gets the closest.

Which teams draft/sign the following players:

Derek Barnett
Josh Dobbs
Alvin Kamara
Josh Malone
Jaylen Reeves-Maybin
Cameron Sutton
Corey Vereen

Not everyone will get drafted obviously, but which teams will pick them up as UDFAs? Make your picks here.

Derek Barnett - Saints 1st
Josh Dobbs - Browns 2nd
Alvin Kamara - Tampa Bay 2nd
Josh Malone - Eagles 3rd
Jaylen Reeves-Maybin - Cowboys UFA
Cameron Sutton - Seahawks 3rd
Jason Croom - Falcons - 7th
Corey Vereen - Broncos - Mr. Irreverent!

It looks like he won't be available at 38 for them anymore. If the buzz that is coming out right now is true, Dobbs could go in the late 1st round. The most likely destination being the Steelers at 30.

Good lord you're an idiot. I'm a Steelers fan and can assure you there is no chance of that happening.

You have got to be kidding. Croom = Undrafted free agent

Possibly, but he's a converted WR to TE and likes to block.

4th round might be reaching but I think he'll get drafted.

Bengals, Cards, Steelers and Lions had private meetings with him. If those teams pass then he'll be a highly coveted FA though

Hate to say it, but D4H got two of them right. Calling JRM to Lions and Dobbs to Steelers.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

I still think Vereen will make a team somewhere. I am glad for all of them, and super glad that JRM got picked up. If he can keep that shoulder healthy watch out.
