Losing my MaMaw to brain cancer was about the hardest thing I have had to deal with. She lived with us while I was growing up and was like a mother to me. It’s been almost 40 years and it’s hard to keep from tearing up just writing this.

Both of mine passed about 30 years ago. I still miss them and think about them all the time.

I wonder if he knew her time was short at the Missouri game and that was why he was so emotional. I would guess for most of us, we don't realize the impact our grandparents have on us until later in life after they pass and we reminisce of our time with them. I know that is certainly my case. Prayers for the Guarantano family.
