I said this same thing about Kerbyson as well as Coleman Thomas a couple of seasons ago and then the next season they both came out vastly improved. Lets not be too quick to jump to conclusions on who is anointed "The Guy".
It could be one is a practice all star and one is the reverse, not claiming any inside knowledge whatsoever. When the lights come on and it's game day it just clicks for some kids and others shrink. Coaches should demand everything they can from kids on the practice field, but recognize every kid has different fingerprints and traits. Kendrick impressed very few and played a lot last year, Richmond practiced a lot. Unless Richmond just stinks, which I doubt, you give him the nod to see how he does when the lights are on, the band plays, and he runs through the T for the first time IMO. If he can't get it done you then move to Kendricks or somebody else who will.
