Learn the maxims, use them every day and especially on game days!

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

...and keep it nice ya filthy animals šŸ˜‚

I'll go first

1) Don't say individuals so much. I know. It doesn't make sense. Trust me on this one.

2) We need you to have thick skin. Our last three coaches were thin skinned sensitive things, and the job ate them alive. By year three they were in the metaphorical fetal position with the fans and the media. Stay tough, you'll do well.
I’d tell him to not unpack everything

Don't say aight? , or try to sound too smart for everyone, or use ANY phrases which have bricks in them. Now that we got our last 3 coaches out of the way, subscribe to Volnation and listen to all the wonderful advice, and you'll be just fine!.

Do NOT lose to KY. It gets you fired every single time.
Do NOT lose to vandy. You will lose all fan respect
Do NOT lose games you are supposed to win. You'll lose the team.
Don't act like you're not supposed to win every game.
Install and maintain a culture of winning.
Don't answer that call from Lane.
Beat your rivals enough that it actually IS a rivalry.
Just win baby.

Enjoy the worship now because when you don't deliver, the fanbase will turn on you VERY quickly...I'm talking year zero quickly. You don't know what your buddy Danny Boy has gotten you into.
