I don't think CBP will get a 2 year ban, more likely a year. I think he will get consideration for penalities that have already been put in place. Now what happens then? Maybe they name CTJ coach until Pearl is reinstated...just a thought.
I don't think What Pearle did ranks with the guys that have had show-cause before. He lied about a barbque and then did actually admit his lie.

The AA is a joke with some silly rules. However, you are mad at the wrong people here. Pearl knew that the cookout was a minor deal, but he did major things to cover for it. All that will show the AA is that there is more. A stupid rule is still a rule. I see some stop signs in uneccessary places, but I still stop. Even if a car isn't in eyesight and it is rediculous, I still stop. An officer won't let me off because "there shouldn't be a sign there". What makes Pearl look so bad is that he reacted like this to a minor thing, oit indicates that there was more to hide. If the NCAA were to let him off light, they would have a hard time conducting investigations in the future. If the NCAA can make a lesson out of Pearl and Kiffin and prevent coaches in the future from skirting rules, they will do it.

Possible replacements.... Buzz Peterson, Jerry green, Kevin O'Neill, Wade Houston, Don DeVoe,.........No thanks guys I would rather take my lumps with an interim instead to buy time till Pearl can come back. Our past haunts us, I for one have went to about every game dating back inside Stokely (yes even when we were ATROCIOUS! Consistently me and my father who owns the tickets a couple out of 2,000 at games was not fun and I don't want it to get back to that. I will always support this program but Pearl has risen this to a basketball power. Our former coaches is what we will be returning to if we don't retain Pearl.

It was a Go Vols Xtra poll and over 3000 fans voting is a pretty significant representation.I know its not what the haters voted and I'm sure they added their vote with all the effort they're making on volnation to fire Pearl.I would say the yeas far outweigh nays
It's not a scientific poll. Totally meaningless.
Your right but many of the consistent negative Pearl posters hate him and its obvious in the venom they spew with personal attacks. This was on here long before the allegations
I love Pearl. I have not had anything negative to say about him until the NCAA junk. But it is in his best interest to leave. If he leaves, he will more than likely get a 2 year show cause penalty. If he stays the NCAA will make an example of him and the Vols with a 5 year or more show cause penalty. Of the 20 coaches who have been hit with an unethical conduct charge, the one closest to Pearl as to the crime committed is Kelvin
Listen I wish it could all go away and that Coach Pearl could continue to coach. But smell the Coffee, it aint going to happen!!!
Nothing said here is accurate. This is all assumption. Nothing more than a personal opinion. Neither you nor I have an idea what the NCAA will do. There has never been a situation with this harsh of self-imposed punishments and conference-set punishments. Past unethical conduct charges have been in situations much worse than Pearls (payments, gifts, etc.). There is a legitimate chance Pearl will stay, and based on UT's actions, it is doing everything it can to keep him.

Do you believe in bigfoot? It has not been absolutely proven that Bigfoot does not exist. Wake up guys. The NCAA is going to make an example of Bruce Pearl. He lied, He tried to cover it up with phone calls. He said he was sorry with tears. Four days later he broke another NCAA rule.
