If CBJ doesn't promote Azzanni he will lose him if not this year next and he can't let that happen. The discussion should be who do we get as WR coach and recruiting coordinator.

didn't Jimbo still call the plays?? Jimbo is an offensive guy & its FSU. 1 of the easiest schools to recruit to & get top tier talent.

I would think CBJ would want to stay within the Rich Rod and Dana Holgerson coaching tree...all with WVU ties in some regard.

Some of these candidates people are throwing out are ridiculous. Most don't even run Butch's offense. Butch will hire someone that runs his type of offense so let's stop naming famous coaches that run a Pro Style offense. Otherwise we would take an automatic step back by trying to install a completely new offense new year.

DITTO!!!! ^ Coach Z is the best choice. If you hire over him he's gone. And Coach Z is a big part of our recruiting success. Also you could leave Coach Z as the WR coach and find a good QB coach.

Napier would be a slam dunk as far as recruiting. No idea if he would fit for running Butch's system though.

No one makes a jump from HS coach to SEC O Coord

Gus Malzone was at Springdale Arkansas as a high school coach. He had NO college experience. Houston Nutt hired him to be the offensive Coordinator at Arkansas.
He left Arkansas and went to be the O C at Auburn. Won a National Championship. Once he saw that the head coach was in hot water, he left Auburn and was hired as the Head coach at Arkansas State.
Once Auburn's head coach was fired, he returned to Auburn to be their head coach.

It does happen. It has happened.
