He got fired from OU. Bad blood. Only twice in TN history has a coach voluntarily left for another school (Dickey & Kiffin). It's happened more at Bama than TN and both coaches failed at their next stops regretting ever leaving. TN can win at the highest level, just like any other blue blood. It lacks no resources that any other school has. None. TN has everything a coach could need or want. Fertile recruiting grounds. Lots of money. Great facilities. Supportive and passionate fanbase. Prestigious history. 100k stadium. Etc. Etc.

The battered vol syndrome needs to exit this fanbasss psyche. The tide is beginning to turn for the program.

He didn't grow up in Oklahoma and he only played there for 2yrs. He was a juco transfer. He got thrown under the bus by Bob Stoops and the administration supported it.

He's not leaving TN. This is not a job coaches are looking to jump from. It's a destination job and he has a great relationship with the AD.

Agreed, ride or die VFL here. Your boy is slightly lighter brown than mine almost exactly the same except mine has a white diamond shape on his chest. My dude also has earned the rite to lounge on the couch all damn day!!!
