Took a while for the Hurd rumors to play out. Several weeks actually.

Took several days for Jack johns rumors.

Same with JJ dope arrest.

Took a coupke days for the Obrien rumors to settle.

Meaning that some people have better connections than the media

Pure speculation..of which this thread is entirely composed..but what potentially could have happened is Wes Rucker posts an out of context CBJ quote about team being high. Some dummy at MSN runs with a Tennessee Football team drug scandal story on MSN based on Rucker's tweet which gives rise to the upcoming suspension tweets and this thread.

The best part is Bill King said on his radio show last week that for the most part, the Knoxville media is equivalent to state run media in that it only panders to the good side of UT. I just bout spit my coffee across my dashboard. Given that he's a UT alum he's overly objective,to the point of crapping on the program at times; very similar to the media he purports is UT biased.

Look dude I never said that there wasn't something to it nor did I say there was. But there is no denying that many times rumors are just that, RUMORS. There may be something to it there may not. But what is sad is that if there is any validity some will rave about how right they were. My post have been more to do with how folks spread rumors as fact, I prefer to wait until I hear it officially with legit sources. I have yet to see any yet. You act like the media always gets it right, and as of now I haven't been referring to the media in this situation, I have seen no stories from the media yet. Only on twitter and message boards, that doesn't count as media outlets to me.GBO!!!!

If that is true, it only proves how worthless it is too listen to Rucker. Not that many do now anyway. I don't know if that's what happened or not but it would not be the first time. GBO!!!!
