*****Portal Watch

Maybe not AM, but LSU has more recent Nattys.
Not under our current coach, and they haven’t made the playoffs since their title in 2019. We have.

Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Queen, Edwards-Elaire, Stingley were from Louisiana. Delpit, Chaisson, and Vincent were from Houston from their 2019 team. Orgeron could recruit.

Well I believe we will end up with the best portal class per 64 analytics with final updates. MSU had a top 60 guy get drafted. Without any surprises we should have 10 transfer guys make it to campus. Awesome results from the portal.
And we may not be done. Sounds like a bit of a numbers crunch but still in on guys like Cooper Moore and Brodie Purcell.

He (Briggs McKenzie) was their 5th best pitching prospect in terms of PG ranking. They have 3 others ranked higher than him that will make it to campus. They'll be fine.
And so will Vols, who had best transfer class and have more returning talent. Appenzeller is the best prep pitcher not going in draft and he is with the good guys.

They’re gonna be stacked every year just like we are gonna be stacked every year. Easily two best programs along with Texas right now

I’ll take our roster over anyone’s for next year
Feels like you could say that about darn near half the SEC. Crazy the talent in the conference now that Texas and OU joined.

Jack Bauer is pretty good, too, going to Mississippi St. I'm just refuting your sensationalized (as usual) post about LSU. Tennessee will be just fine. So will LSU.

LSU lost a lot more talent that was experienced. Vols definitey have a better returning team. Good thing is next time they play Vols it will be in LNS.
Tennessee lost 7 of 9 starting position players to the draft (Fischer, Kilen, Curley, Peerless, Ensley, Bargo, Chapman). Maybe we Bargo and/or Chapman back, maybe not.

LSU lost 5.

They both lost a bunch of pitching.

You're presenting your opinion as fact in nearly every statement. Both teams are likely top-3 preseason. Maybe the top 2. I'd bet LSU gets the benefit of doubt, right or wrong.

LSU will get the benefit of the doubt because they are LSU and D1 Baseball knows that pissed off Tennessee fans drives their business.

I think he had to say this just to protect all of his current kids. Still a lot of movement could happen but out of respect he is taking the "we are done" message.
What kind of movement? Our guys on the team can’t leave and we are a decent number above where we need to be. I don’t see us adding anyone else UNLESS it’s a no brainer

Chapman and Bargo in particular and also just working on that final roster. I think he is giving it a day or two to settle. To release a statement that we are still looking at folks would be foolish. Of course he is always looking at people and baseball rosters are in constant fluidity.

I believe they are done. Newman is going to sign, Chapman will be back, and don’t believe Bargo will.

They will have to prune a little bit from there. Think they would love to have Purcell a lot but at this point it’d cost them someone they really like. We will see, maybe they will decide to go that route
