It was the Buccaneers, still yet doesn't change the narrative that Jackson was drafted by 3 different MLB teams before signing with one.
My point was simply Bo felt he got taken advantage of by the Bucs and vowed to never play for them. Bo was the best athlete I’ve ever seen.

We are living in the “good old days “. Don’t take it for granted folks. Enjoy it while we have it.
If this statement is good ole days for baseball, sign me up. Basketball has made a couple of good runs and maybe this year will be better, but outside of DK getting screwed by refs against Purdue, we’ve never been offensively good enough to win the big ones. And football? Sure it’s so much better than the dumpster fire it was for a time, but there are still way more questions than answers about this being the good ole days for football. For example, can heupel beat the top tier? Can he make adjustments to his offense and halftime adjustments to beat the best? Can we not lay a dud every year? Can we have a realistic shot at a natty year in and year out? This year will go a long way in answering some of those..

I’m by no means being an ungrateful turd for the current times, but I’m solely saying if we want to call baseball as the “good ole days”, great! Basketball, sure. Football, not there yet for me though but I do love Saturdays in the fall.

RHP Cooper Moore from Kansas is currently visiting. All-Big 12 Second Team as a sophomore this year. He is eligible for the draft, but is considered a weekend starter if he doesn’t go pro.

3.96 ERA with 85 strikeouts to 19 walks in 88.2 innings this year.
And to think, people were worried when we were losing average pitchers to the portal.

Definitely baseball and men’s basketball. But also definitely for the AD as a whole. Obviously, we’ve been better at football, women’s basketball, swimming/diving, and track in the past, but we’ve never been this good at all sports collectively.

For crying out loud, we made the CFB Playoffs last year, after this program took nearly two decades to get its act together, yet football "isn't there yet" IYO? Delusional.

Yes we made the CFP, but we’re still 2nd tier in terms of recruiting. We’re not on the same stage as UGA, LSU, Texas, and AM in terms of recruiting elite talent.

And what does AM do with that talent? That school is the biggest enigma in college athletics; they recruit great in everything, they have amazing facilities, the alumni hand over $M’s like it’s penny’s, they entice great coaches with a history of success to come on, yet they’re consistently, slightly above middle of the road in almost everything.

What I'm saying lol

2 of those teams mentioned missed the playoffs last year despite having better recruiting classes than us regularly. Georgia's athletic department is cheeks. All they have is football. Similar to how kentucky only has (had) basketball. Texas is Texas. Their athletic department pulls in 30-40% more revenue than Tennessee while likely having better donors as well (although ours are great).

PS we beat Texas in the postseason twice this year (baseball and basketball)

Football was broken….totally broken from top to bottom. In light of the competitiveness of college football and the elite nature of the SEC, it was going to take time and patience to catch up. We all want the ultimate prize, but the ascension takes time in light of the damage within the program. We are seeing some good progress. Trust this foundation.

So much positivity....it's such a shock to my system.

Our football program took so much damage for a 15-year period it almost felt like it was done intentionally. Randy Boyd, Donde Plowman, ADDW and CJH deserve more credit than they get for bringing the program back from the dead

We have made it to sweet 16 or better 4 out of 5 years in basketball - that’s insane. Winning from there requires quite a bit of luck.

Football just made the playoff and won a NY6 bowl in the last 3 years.

Outside of winning a national championship (again requires luck breaking your way) it’s hard to be that much more consistently better than Vols have been in the last 3-5 years in the 3 big sports. This is exactly what is meant by enjoying the good times

His point is that it isn't the good ole days for football. that's still the 1990s which is objectively by far and away a better era than we're in right now for that sport

And the future is looking bright for the Lady Vols as well. This is dang near as good as it gets. I’m extremely proud and grateful of the current state of athletics at Tennessee.

That would give us 4 weekend rotation guys, so unless Kuhns moves to the pen something isn’t adding up
