Tony’s numbers vs DVH are definitely very skewed. If Tony gets his super team and Arkansas isn't on the schedule next year I'm going to be so mad lol. We really never get them when all things are equal, or we have the upper hand.

Didn’t have to play us in 22 or 24 when we were the best team in the country.
We’ve gone to them twice (now 3 times in a row) as well
LSU will absolutely be on there on the SEC seems hellbent on making Tennessee/LSU a "thing" in baseballIf SEC schedules correctly then we should definitely have series vs Texas, Mississippi State, Georgia, Missouri and Oklahoma. These were the five teams we missed this season. The rest is whomever . Probably Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Florida plus plug in the other two.
Fine by me. We need testing/seasoning.... whatever you want to call it. Frankly, I think we need to take a page from hoops and schedule better opponents in the preconference portion of the schedule. This year's early schedule looked good on paper, but it did us no favors in getting us ready for the grind that was to come.LSU will absolutely be on there on the SEC seems hellbent on making Tennessee/LSU a "thing" in baseball
What about a road mid week game like Ga Tech? Or you think just a better weekend series?Fine by me. We need testing/seasoning.... whatever you want to call it. SEC Schedule should be reversed next year every team we went to is home next year and we go to all SEC schools that were in Knoxville. I think it's more time to practice and easier for for the players staying at home. The lesser teams allow you to get the young kids playing time to see what they can do. The team did really good to start the SEC season but started to fall back as so many players hit slumps. SOS takes a hit but we do play in the toughest conference. Only Tony knows why he scheduled as he has.Fine by me. We need testing/seasoning.... whatever you want to call it. Our non conference SOS was much better last year. Bowling Green was RPI 101 in a 3 game series, and Illinois was 43. Also played a midweek game against a ranked Kansas State. I’ve been advocating to at least host a P4 northern team for a 3 game series. They will end the season being a top 75-100 team based on schedule. Playing a midmajor series against a 200+ RPI team for our third home series does not help.Again, nobody had a problem with the easy out-of-conference schedule when we were making it to Omaha and winning a Natty (the 2024 team didn't exactly play a hard OOC schedule either), so I refuse to believe that scheduling is the reason why this team didn't live up to it's potential
What about playing Georgia Tech in Chattanooga every year? What about a road mid week game like Ga Tech? Or you think just a better weekend series?
I think Louisville already plays Vandy and UK. Tennessee likely plays VA Tech in Dallas next year. What about playing Georgia Tech in Chattanooga every year?
Or possibly a home game vs Louisville, then next year go there
Clemson already plays Georgia at home an away an a 3 game series with South Carolina, so I doubt they are looking for any new competition but
Virginia Tech a home 1 season on road next season
There is already a thread for this in here. 6 posts down. Can we use this thread to see who's committed, who we are hosting/talking to, and who might be looking elsewhere? Seems we have this for other sports but for baseball we could really enjoy this conversation as we seem to be a consideration for any major transfer.
