So Berto's not even gonna try to stay and get eligible for us next season? Laaaame
As of right now, he can’t play at Tennessee. Who wants to go through a trial hoping for a decision that he can play at UT, if he can improve his chances of playing by perhaps going to D2?

I would probably expect a few more. I think this new 34 limit is going to encourage people to take fewer risks with their playing time chances.
Will the 34 limit include players that get here and need to redshirt or are injured? That could seriously complicate things if they have to be included. Will be almost no redshirting anymore.

There was talk about “grandfathering“ players who would be cut in 2026 based on the 40 to 34 roster limit. What that looks like, I’m not sure anyone knows at this point. In future years, it will be a strict 34 man roster. If you elect to redshirt a player, they would count against the roster limit.

Redshirts count against the 34??? That's horseshit, there's gonna be somebody somewhere that sues over that. 100%

Most teams don’t play much more than 27 total players (pitchers and position players) in a season anyway. New roster cap just means teams can’t stockpile talent with 52 or 53 kids and there’ll be more competitive mid majors and more overall parity in college baseball.

I honestly just wish they would've done a 40 man roster and mirrored the pros

Not his biggest fan but Sean sparks says Kuhns is staying. So take that how you will
Vitello was on air with Basilio today and he mentioned Kuhns by name as someone they have big plans for and believes he has a major league future. He just wasn't ready to be a 5 or 6 inning Sunday guy as a freshman. Don't think he'd mention him if he didn't believe he'd be back.

I'm pumped about this submarine throwing kid we just got from ESTU; one thing I definitely think we missed this past season was a pitcher who could give SEC hitters a different look, whether that's a junk-tossing lefty or otherwise. It's big reason why Zander was as successful in 2024 as he was despite not having what some people would call "showcase" SEC stuff... and now we add a submarine thrower! I love it! As long as this guy has good control, he'll be an absolute terror to our opponents on the mound

Very reliable baseball poster on VQ said the same thing. It was very iffy a few weeks ago.
