Honest criticism is a bedrock of progress. It's vital. There is very, very little honest criticism on VN.

- There is lots of uninformed, bias opinions shared as fact.
-There is lots of emotional, woe-is-us, Eeyore opinions shared as realism.
- There is lots of dishonest criticism shared by trolls disguised as UT fans.

Yep. Honest criticism tends to get buried by all of the garbage.

I agree. We will take a DT or two, but we are not spending 2 million for a player that could cause one of our current guys to portal or cause problems with team chemistry.

Issue with portholers is getting them here. Often shutting it down before. That seems to be our issue this cycle. Kids shutting it down, in a Hurry.

and where did Texas end up last season? Losing in the playoffs to Ohio St just like we did. Man I just laugh at you people thinking you have any clue what goes on behind the scenes with our staff and portal recruiting.

That was last season and we had a lot more talent in certain position groups than we do now... Guess you didn't see the mass exodus of WR's, SEC player of the year in Sampson, Cooper, etc... So you think with the current roster we have, and now a QB situation, we're "Good" and will make the playoff? Talk about laughing...

I always want the best for UT. Always. But we could literally sign the worst WR in the portal and certain posters would be saying our coaches found a diamond in the rough. My many years on VN have taught me, honest criticism is not allowed.

West and Bailey are SDE not every down DT’s. Why do Tennessee fans think depth isn’t important. Not depth at DT or WR and we have some fans that think we are good at both. Makes no sense

The depth the last two years was not normal. You assess what you need more.

The only positions groups that got worse are runningback and QB. And even those are still TBD as the coaches are high on Morris and the Duke transfer. Plus Lewis likely makes a jump. QB could improve too as Nico wasn’t exactly good. It’s TBD. Defense is stacked.

lol, the mass exodus of WRs were due to them not getting playing time and being buried on the depth chart. Same way there was a mass exodus of DBs the year before and guess what? We got BETTER on defense! We will absolutely have better WRs this year.

UT has taken a DT every year, they will bring at least one in. They have hit on a good one every time. You can trust CRG and CJH to bring in the DT talent.

Absolutely, but they are unproven and don't have experience... that's a big deal in the SEC... we don't have a track record/stats on them, only presuming and hope... Oh, and now a new QB that will need to get a chemistry and timing with them...

you must have missed reading comprehension in school... where did I say experience was all that matters and if you don't have it you are worthless? We have potential talent, but only one WR has true experience that we can go by... Lot a potential talent, but not a lot of proven success in games in the SEC... SMH

I’m hoping he sees it that way. I feel like anytime Ohio State is in the mix for a wideout that is never a good thing . With Smith and Tate being there, hopefully that will push him away

I agree, we've got some potential studs, even Amari, they all just need experience.. That's why I'd love to get this BYU transfer WR so that we have least two guys out there with lengthy game experience... gonna be a learning curve as it is with a new QB, so game and route experience will help ...
