Don’t see us going for an RB but I’d love this guy. Would have the potential to be the best back in the SEC imo.

I’d love to have him for sure. We already got Star Thomas in the portal and have Peyton Lewis and Bishop, and I’d argue Ott is an upgrade over all three. Hope we go for him

I will say I think this forum is way too low on Thomas. I think he has potential to take over the backfield pretty quickly. He was pretty good at Duke, though I will concede that Duke only played one good team last season (not including their bowl game) so idk maybe it wasn’t the best sample size lol

He missed the Orange and White game so that leads me to believe that he’s holding out for more money.

Someone should certainly ask CJH at his next presser directly if Gibson intends to enter to portal or what?

If so, then yes I’d take him.

I would think we have bigger holes to fill than RB. The staff might feel differently, but I think we have enough right now. I think he's certainly an upgrade, or at least would be if healthy.

No. I heard about the crisis moments over the last year and was asked not to share any of it. Similarly, over the last two weeks, I was asked to not share anything. The outcome was unavoidable, largely due one unstable force not named Nico. Ultimately he got and followed terrible advice. Some of that is on him. Some players really love Nico, and are crushed. Others are relieved. We have to/will add a QB for numbers sake, but will aim for a QB who can start immediately. QBs who are not currently in the portal have reached out through agents. Many are at the experience level of our current roster. That’s not a fit. We are looking for an experienced 1, or an experienced 2 who can move to 1 if needed. We are not looking for a young guy to jump into the competition. Sorry, that’s not too helpful or specific. I think a lot will happen in the coming weeks as players decide enter the second portal window.
