I think Jake is gonna keep Gmac off the field and then Brandon is gonna take over. Gmac is gonna have to beat out a bigger, stronger, older QB with a full year more experience in the system...and like Gmac, Jake is a pretty dang good athlete scrambling/running as well. Has a strong arm too. Surprised Gmac came here honestly. Regardless, if they both hang around for 2 more years then the QB1 competition for 2027 is gonna be crazy. Jake with 3 years practice, Gmac with 2, and Faizon with a full year under his belt. Our QB room is gonna be as good as any in the country for the next 3 or 4 years regardless. Even if 1 of those guys decides to leave, we are set at QB through at least 2028. Love it.

Tennessee will add players from the portal. You have to make room first. We’re only 3 below the limit, so I’d expect we’ll need more to leave.

I wonder if they are gonna close this loophole. Brooks and Bishop are not on scholarship, but i am sure they are getting NIL money. Which pays for school. Wonder how that works, we cannot be the only team with a couple guys like this that actually play. Just add an extra $50k to a kids NIL package and save scholarships?

Really hope we get to a point where we arent trimming, and have quality depth.

Excited to see youth movement. Really hope we can land some playmakers on offense!

Watching Syracuse in their bowl game.

It occurs to me, we need to upgrade speed on offense. Please football gods. Let us add some pieces. These guys look fast.

I've read that if they adopt the 105 scholarship limit there will be no walk ons.

I'd like to know what the coaches are thinking right now with so many players hitting the portal. We still have plenty of time to add bodies, if we can find guys we actually want, so I know they're not panicking or anything, but I do wonder how surprised they are by the exodus. Especially someone like Squirrel, who they've given every opportunity to. I just don't see the young man being as big a factor in another program. I could be wrong. We'll see. I just don't see him as a game breaker.
