I think the emptyneyland gang is a bunch of crybabies and they are the archtype of poor sportsmanship. Use their posts to teach children how NOT to be.
HOWEVER, if you are one of them, and you just can't stop the red faced tears and kicking your legs, spinning in circles on the floor as you scream then:
AT LEAST reach inside to find a little of the Volunteer Spirit.
Be a Torchbearer for a day.
Give your ticket(s) to an elementary school student who would never ever get to see the VOLS otherwise.
Knoxville elementary school asks for donated UT tickets for students
..." South Knoxville Elementary School took advantage of the empty seats and asked fans to donate their unused tickets for young fans who never lose pride in Big Orange.
The standard ticket price can sometimes be too much for many of the students at South Knoxville Elementary.
"That may be groceries for the week, so it's hard for these families to come up with that kind of money for something extra like a UT football game," Principal Tanna Nicely said.
Almost the entire student body at the school gets free or reduced lunches.
"I thought, 'If people aren't using their tickets, why not use them for children that might not have an opportunity to go see a game,'" Nicely said.
Principal Nicely asked the community to make a difference for the kids. Since Tuesday, about 100 tickets have already been donated.
And the kid were excited. "Since we're getting the free seats," one student said, "I might have an opportunity."
..."
You can donate your tickets by dropping them off at the school's main office:
