I won’t be attending but I think their’s enough Butch supporters, player supporters, and homecoming crowd to get it at an announced 90k+. My tickets are sitting in a trash can under my desk at work though.

I’m just not going to waste anymore Saturdays watching terrible coaching. God bless you folks who don’t have a gag reflex.

Just like with the NFL the real revenue decline comes from turning off the TV. If UT has a sustained dip in TV ratings it eventually causes an issue that requires everyone to address including the SEC office given the conference contracts. Turn it off and just listen on the app if you really want to hear us taking an azz beating.

Currie is a bean counter like Hamilton. So long as UT has one of the most profitable athletic departments, he won't change a thing. He could care less about W's and L's. He only cares about $ signs. He's not a VFL like us.

If Tennessee fans keep spending money on the product, there will continue to be no incentive for Currie to improve it. He isn't going to break a profitable model. Even guys like Jimmy Hyams who are the last to turn on a failed coach admit that an empty stadium sends an unignorable message.

The stadium won't be empty though. You'll be able to buy scalped tickets for 5 bucks right at game time. I expect around 80 to 85K. It won't be all the usual fans. There will be a lot of people in attendance who can't usually afford to go.

I'd like to see some people who truly care about the direction of the program really ramp up the pressure on Currie. I'd like to see thousands of Fire Currie rather than the obligatory Fire Jones signs.

Currie is the real problem at UT, not Jones. The boosters have already offered to buyout Jones. Currie is standing in their way. He has told close confidantes that if UT can get to 6 and 6, he believes he will be able to keep Jones. If just getting to a bowl game is good enough and being toward the bottom of the SEC is acceptable to you, then head on up to Knoxville for the game tomorrow, which in essence is supporting Currie's decision to retain Jones. Every dollar you spend is a vote in favor of the status quo.
