This Thread is the fans telling Pruitt that its time for a change...like next game.
The spread on this voting is definitely significant.....it is what it is and this vote is telling Pruitt the fans do not think JG is the future for the remaining games or next year. If Pruitt is hard headed about it he could do a lot of damage with the fan base and recruiting.....
IMO this Thread is sending him the message..........when you go against the grain and fail, well you know the ending

I just cast my vote and I say no. Partially because the volnation mob mentality says yes....

I say start him against the Mocs and leave him in for as long as he plays well. If he goes successive three and out's and then put somebody else in. If he plays great (i did say IF ), then give the other 2 QB's a quarter each the 2nd half of the game.

Normally, I'm not in favor of having a hook on a QB because it's more pressure, but JG hasn't responded even when there's been no hook. We have to come out of this game knowing something about our QBs with Florida looming.... Shrout's been in the system a couple of years now and who knows maybe Maurer is a gamer.

I say we don't start him. There is absolutely no reason to.
At this point even if JG has an Auburn game we still know we have in him.
Give the other guys some good quality game reps against a team we "should" be able to beat and give them time to shake the nerves before heading into the swamp.
JG can go sit off by himself as usual. I want to see his reaction when he's benched. We already saw it once during the Ga Tech game but lets see if he's matured and tries to rally his teammates.

I have been a JG supporter but last night opened my eyes. JG needs to be benched. He left at least 2 TDS on the field. Really taking a long look at it, he is the main reason we are 0-2.

Shrout or Maurer has to be the starter moving forward. Play both if you have to. Here is what I am worried about. If Pruitt and this staff cannot see that JG is the main reason this offense sucks and doesn’t change the QB, then we have a SERIOUS problem.

Bench him. He will be at Rutgers next year anyway.

Agreed. I said this earlier. He has no intention of coming back next year because he can go to any school and play immediately as a graduate transfer. Rutgers would make sense, considering his dad played and excelled there. Granted, I don't know this as a fact, but that's what I would do.

He's not a good QB but he seems to be a good guy. I hope he goes somewhere else for his benefit and ours.

This is well said, agree 100%

I believe it’s likely time to move on from a 3–yr starter who’s regressed in his ability to make smart decisions and see the field. It’s time to roll Shrout or Maurer out there and see how they respond, because this is a lost season and it sure appears JG isn’t gonna be the answer given how he’s performed to poorly to start the year.

You’re also 100% right about this fanbase though with regards to how they criticize QBs. They’ll immediately turn on the next guy just like they have JG, like they did Dobbs, like they did Worley, Crompton, etc, etc. Maurer or Shrout, just like Bailey in the future, they’re all gonna get the same dumb, mindless, “he sucks no matter what” treatment.

Tom Brady could start next week, hit his first 30 passes.....and there would be the same dumbasses on here calling for him to be benched when he didn’t complete pass #31. Just the way it is.
You almost admitted you were wrong with a degree of grace.... then ruined it. I don't think anyone "turned on" JG "immediately". He simply hasn't improved.

Wait a minute the smoke blowers are saying he is a NFL draft selection. Why would he be planning on going to Rutgers ? I would hope that the Rutgers staff can see the lack of talent he brings.

I think it might be time, just to let him understand he can't continue to be late. Even when he threw on time last night, he threw behind the receivers. I do not like to criticize players, but he had a deer in the headlights look on his face for most of the game.

Is the issue that if one of the other QBs starts and plays well and starts leading UT to some wins and the offense looks better is Cornbread afraid he might have a QB controversy next spring with the freshman coming in ? I can't think of any other reason to start JG.
