Tennessee is not going to have a coaching change. They will absolutely have their pick of talent from the transfer portal over the course of April and May. These players are not going to pass up an opportunity to play in Knoxville. It’s partly why you’re hearing the chirping from the flock that’s out the door.
There has been whispers about who is/will replace them.

I like that you're being positive, but this sounds delusional. Kim should of been fired or resigned. Another season is just going to push this program backwards even more. Her system will not work at this level. She's to stubborn to adjust or change and Tennessee will remain stagnant.

Using delusional says more about you than it does the post. Nothing delusional about that statement. Fans are completely off base on what the transfer portal and NIL means to collegiate sports right now. Every season is a complete clean slate. This will not push anything back a year that is simply a lie.
Until you see every single player Coach Caldwell signs and them play atleast 10 games you or I can’t say how this team will fare this season. It would be the same even if not a single returning player had entered the transfer portal. The players last season could not learn to play as a team with 30 games under their belt. What would they have done differently this season? That’s facts.

The Lady Vols are in ruins
Baseball is burning
Men's basketball is holding steady/consistent deep runs in the tourney
Football made changes to try and avoid going backwards

So by my count that is one sport doing well, one sport doing okay, and two sports that are in ruins/headed that way. If football drops off this fall, his ass will 100% feel the heat
Softball is doing well too.

I agree that DWs rep as a great AD is in a very precarious position. Football is the lead dog and you just can’t downplay the damage that was done losing at home to Vandy the way it happened. The QB situation next season and the defense will make or break year 6 for Heupel. If it goes very poorly, DW will certainly feel heat.

Rep as "a great AD" is very relative. There was very, very brief moment in time where Mike Hamilton was considered a "great AD".... until the Fulmer/Kiffin/Dooley shitshow, NCAA drama around Pearl, and the Raleigh hire happened. Then his reputation as a "great AD" was shattered into millions of pieces and scattered to the wind; the biggest difference is that Mike Hamilton was a good, decent person. ADDW is not.

Who is “we”? You really think I didn’t know that player would decommit? Just like I knew the others were entering the transfer portal? I let you and the others come on here to leak info so it gets exposed and the sources doing it can be revealed. Just like I’m sitting back and waiting for the replacements to be name like this latest assistant coach hiring plus portal commitments. You can keep focusing on this upcoming freshman that might average 10 ppg and 5-8 rebounds this season. The McDAAG performance was 8 & 9. That’s the bar.
I’m off that I wish them glory.

Biggest mistake she made was letting Lazo and Tubner run the recruiting and they signed kids that did not even come close to fitting her system. That is on her as she should have taken more charge of that part of the process. She trusted too much and it screwed up our team as those guys saw stars instead of athletes.

IN pre-season, everyone saw these players a being a great fit for her high pressing, fast paced system.

People keep moving the goal post on what the system is about and what players "fit" it.

If Deerpark is to be believed and I don’t see why not, Kim had final say on these players, and I would hope so! She didn’t just blindly trust Lazo or Tubner.

Throw out the hockey substitutions and it is not a system, it is just pressure basketball. Pretty much same thing Geno is doing ever since he lost to it last year. Got to have the right athletes to run it or it won't work.

She has very clearly at many times called it her system. She is not throwing out the hockey subs but doubling down on it next year. There is no comparison in any way imaginable to describe what Geno puts on the floor and what Kim does.

Even Holly Rowe is now tweeting about what ADDW has allowed to happen to this basketball program; that is the Holly Rowe who works for ESPN. People can keep saying it "doesn't generate any money" or that "nobody really cares about women's basketball", but I'm telling y'all this AD is stepping in it by keeping this coach and it will all come back to bite him in the ass.

It wasn't the Freshmen who were not carrying their load. It was the bigs who were not playing defense, not rebounding, fouling all over the court and missing fouls shots. I saw a number of case where they were jogging back on defense while the opposite was running a fast break. Most of the players quit during the middle of the season, not after the season. The old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can not make them drink is true. The players' attitude was the worse I have ever seen on a TEAM. We had a lot of individuals who potter when they did not their way. The Xs and Os will win when the players play up to their abilities. I fear, the situation has progressed to a point that, unless we get unbelievable takes in the portal, we will be fighting o stay out of the bottom of the SEC next Fall.

Is it possible to simply ride with our assistants this year? Surely one of them could do better with the media. If next year is a reset anyway, why not take the pressure off everyone for the year?

I will always support the VOLs/Lady Vols. I was at every single game of the Wade Houston 5 win men’s basketball team. I’m sure I can handle this season.
That was a rough time to be sure. Of course, there were some players that were intriguing to watch. We all wanted Wade to succeed for many reasons. He was a long-time assistant at a top-level program, so it seemed like it would work. You are a faithful fan.

If 70% of VolNation wants Caldwell gone, how does this translate to attendance and viewership?
We will ALL have to wait and see. Could go either way. Might eliminate the credibility of the LLOMS. That would be Lady’s Legion of Miserable. Somebody is on the clock. Have our answer by this time next year as we plot a trend analysis.
