What’s the point if they aren’t going for it all? Do you consider it a “win” and a “success” to drop a little blue pill? It isn’t. Moral of the story is never accept impotency. Always celebrate potency. If they aren’t playing for the championship you’ve already admitted your acceptance of failure. Don’t he a limp loser.

As I stated you have never been the best or one of the best at something so you wouldn’t know.

It’s VERY important to go from losing to winning. It’s very important to “start” doing things you haven’t been able to do……if you want to go further. No on simply goes from terrible year after year after year without learning how to complete and win. You simply don’t wake up and bang your great.

and the point is we have seen the strides and the growth. This team wins. This team can compete against most anyone. This team is probably ready to take the next step…….you simply don’t go from 3 win to 7-6 to 15-0…….it don’t happen. You always get better in between.

I had us going at best 8-4 so no, it’s above my expectations.

Ask the players and coaches off script and you’ll get a different answer.

They failed to reach their own expectations but they surpassed mine.

Until this past weekend, this team had set a new standard for overachieving. Very little future NFL players on this squad and no one on Tennessee's defense would start for any of the top 5 or 6 SEC teams. Not sure any of the DBs would even be in the rotation.

This was never a top 4 type team with a defense that has consistently been this porous. With that being said, I didn't expect anything like this until the first round of the playoffs. To let SCarolina score TDs on 9 of 10 full possessions tells you everything you need to know about how bad this group really is.

But, the excitement caused by the offensive firepower all year coupled with the opportunity for any true freshman, JUCO, or transfer to walk right in and start on defense or running back should help recruitment. Who wouldn't want to play in the Big Orange environment created at LSU, vs Alabama and Kentucky? Heupel and staff need to get to work and bring in SEC talent on both sides of the ball.

10-2 is way above what anyone was predicting and should be a great springboard going forward..........Lose to Vandy and the whole season was a bust!!

Yes. Abject failure to beat Bama, FL and destroy LSU in Baton Rouge and be in the playoff discussion 22 months after the lowest point in program history and the laughingstock of college football.
One of my grandparents said after I said " I'm no good at this" and i couldn't catch a fish when everyone else on the bank was catching a bunch.
Your only a failure if you think you are and quit.
If you quit on the team then you're a failure

When you have the best odds to win out vs all the playoff teams and you are a 22 point favorite and you lose by 25.
22+ 25=47 points difference than were Vegas thought we were at. Think about that if you bet on UT you missed it by 47 points. Not a total failure to our fans but I think to the rest of the Nation it a total FUBAR. Not a good look.

I'm guessing this is supposed to be parabole , but some of the most successful people in the world have hypertension. Just throwing that out there.

As much as i dislike Alabama Fans, I do respect that they EXPECT excellence. We should be the same. Do you really think the Bama faithful would accept that kind of loss against South Carolina? Why should Vol fans settle for it?
First off...we ain't Bama...If we had won 6 NC's over the last 15 years then yeah it might be a failure. I predicted 8 wins so no it ain't even close to a failure.
