What’s the point if they aren’t going for it all? Do you consider it a “win” and a “success” to drop a little blue pill? It isn’t. Moral of the story is never accept impotency. Always celebrate potency. If they aren’t playing for the championship you’ve already admitted your acceptance of failure. Don’t he a limp loser.Call me extra silly then!!!!!
Since 2008 the 13 seasons before Heupel got here. Tennessee had 8 losing seasons. 8 losing and only 5 winning. None of those were better than 8 win in the regular season.
Now for 2 years in a row Tennessee has been winning, scoring and the games have been fun and competitive in almost all of them.
The team is 9-2 with wins over Bama which has been what 15 years coming? How long has in been since Tennessee has beaten Bama, Florida and LSU in the same season?
Hey I’m REAL good just to see Tennessee become good again. Hard to win championships before you become good. Your not going to win everything until you start winning on a regular basis.
You have obviously never been the best or one of the best at something. You don’t just decide hey I’m going to be the best. You got to work at it. It takes time and you got to go out and earn it. Once you finally get there you WILL realize everything else certainly WAS NOT wasted because it made you better, it made you work, it built you into the best.
Sports just suck lol. But you're right, the whole question is poorly timed. Not a failure. But wait until after Saturday's result to label this season. A loss to vanderbilt at the end of the season cancels a lot of the feel-good about this year. Last Saturday morning as we were all switching back and forth watching TCU and Michigan "about to go down", there could not have been a worse script written to end that day. Sports can be a cruel, cruel pastime.
Saturday was a massive failure, who knows the next time we’ll have that clear of a path to the playoffs. The season overall wasn’t a failure though we massively overachieved.
That was a disappointing loss but the reason it hurts is that the potential was so great. For YEARS... we've been numb to losing late in the year because it didn't mean anything. At 9-2, let's see how the faithful define this season.....
For the record, I am a major supporter of this this season being a massive success.

Based on what Heupel did with what he had this year... I don't think it will be long before UT is competing to get into the playoff. He did massively overachieve and now has an opportunity to pull in the talent where this level of success and better won't have to be considered an overachievement.Saturday was a massive failure, who knows the next time we’ll have that clear of a path to the playoffs. I don't see how anyone can call a potential 3 game minimum / 4 game maximum win improvement over last year is anything but a raging success.
3-7
7-6
9-4 / 10-3 / 11-2
We are entering the last game of the season #9. With wins against UF, Alabama and LSU. Ranked #1 and #5 with talks and consideration of playing in the playoffs. The 2022 season wasn’t a failure. It was a good season.
