Pls Explain Tourney Schedule

I can't explain this schedule. It's single elimination the first day, then switches to double elim for a while, then back to single elim at the semis. The #1 seed doesn't play the worst seeded team out of the box, and even though has never lost a game, is playing until 2 am two nights in a row, and has to play to 2 am the night before a 3 pm championship game where the lesser seed in that game gets 4 more hours of rest. Meanwhile, the undefeated 1 seed has to win a single elimination championship game against a lesser seed who has already lost a game in a winner take all. Just a stupid setup. SEC should be ashamed.

Imagine how A&M feels, they beat Florida and both teams move on to the next round. A&M plays Florida again and loses and they are eliminated.
It’s 1-1, a tie.
The only time 1-1 isn’t a tie is when it’s between you and your wife/girlfriend, then you lose every time.
