Explain the Georgia game FG he missed. And last year when he missed like 4 fgs against Kentucky. Defend that.

Well maybe we should look at this from a different angle. When we play well we really don’t have to rely on those 50 yrs field goals and that was the case last night . I was just as pissecabout the missed Georgia field goal but Giilbert has been solid under 45 yards. Most good offenses don’t really kick many field goals

Jeff Hall had ice water in his veins. So did Fuad Reveiz, John Becksvoort, and James Wilhoit. I think Max is a fine kicker, but he doesn't perform well under pressure.

This is like laying a loss on the officiating. My football coach was adamant that you played well enough to overcome their mistakes, intentional or not and that you played well enough AT ALL TIMES to overcome one play. In other words, win as a team, lose as a team and if you lose, it’s not down to one play.

I like to think that kick was his tryout for next year. Dude choked away 2 games for us this year and I believe nearly a third at MSST. You can't tell me that we cannot find a better kicker anywhere. Pay whatever is necessary.

Yes, 76% is very good. To say otherwise is obtuse.

76% for field goals is like making a C in school. Yeah it’s serviceable but it’s not that good. Just enough to get you by but just on the cusp of slipping to a failing grade with one bad exam. In his case, he has failed 2 big exams this year in Georgia and Oklahoma.

All kickers have occasional misses. That kick hurt, but you don’t judge a guy on one kick.

He didn’t miss just one kick. He also missed a kick at Mississippi State and at home against Oklahoma that directly impacted those games. It’s a trend at this point.
