Well maybe we should look at this from a different angle. When we play well we really donāt have to rely on those 50 yrs field goals and that was the case last night . I was just as pissecabout the missed Georgia field goal but Giilbert has been solid under 45 yards. Most good offenses donāt really kick many field goalsExplain the Georgia game FG he missed. And last year when he missed like 4 fgs against Kentucky. Defend that.
76% for field goals is like making a C in school. Yeah itās serviceable but itās not that good. Just enough to get you by but just on the cusp of slipping to a failing grade with one bad exam. In his case, he has failed 2 big exams this year in Georgia and Oklahoma.So "76.7% isn't good," but the highest in UT history is 77.9%? A 1.2% difference. (I believe he was #1 going into last night, but the 50 yard miss knocked him down a little).
Um...okay.

Yes, 76% is very good. To say otherwise is obtuse.
