This has to stop. Currie had to have been brought in to keep the self indulgent boosters pacified. Pacifying that bunch is destroying UT. It's why it has gotten to this pathetic point. It's been repeated time and again that this was too important of a hire to miss the mark again and the program was at a critical stage.
What on earth have they been doing or thinking while other coaches were being interviewed? This school president, this worthless Board of Trustees with their self appointed booster bucks, this relatively new AD, what have they been doing?
If Currie couldn't land Gruden, he should have had the sense to put an end to the rumors when he was asked about it instead of smiling coyly. He should have said that he talked to Jon and that he had no real interest in coaching at the college level.
This is an epic fail.
