I'm not sure if you see the holes in your logic and argument? Not going to the game isn't going to solve anything and here's why:
1) You are worth just as much to the university watching at home as TV revenue money is what drives the funding for the athletic department. Staying at home will drive up advertising rates and make the SEC network more valuable which negates anything you are trying to protest
2) The people on this board, and those that call into sports radio shows are the vocal minority when it comes to their fandom. Most people don't care as much as you all, and football is more of a social event than anything else. If you don't go, there will always be people that will gladly buy your tickets for the experience of going to the game and tailgating. This is the same fallacy that people who talk about money lost from lack of season ticket renewals suffer from. There will always be people that will donate and buy tickets to replace you.
3) The school has wanted to downsize the capacity of Neyland for years. Remember the plan to bring the seating capacity to like 90k? Fans not showing up will just give more credence to the necessity of that plan, which will increase demand and price while decreasing supply. Its a win-win for the university.
